HBO needs to STOP with the false advertising, GGG is *not* the 160 champ

Lara is with Haymon strictly, not even Gbp. He's not welcome on hbo even now, much less then. He shkuld have called him out when ggg was looking for an opponent for monaco, but kept quiet then. Besides, Lara wouldnt be much of a challenge at all

 

Not lately, jacka$$. For a while you could be with Haymon and have a promoter other than GBP and get on HBO, not anymore. Now GBP is welcome but not Haymon. Unless its a mando/purse bid situation, but we know Haymon guys drop belts when bids lost.

There's the WBA World champ, WBA Interim #1, #2, and #3 at 160lbs.
2 of those fighters are with Haymon like Lara is and would be in house fights.
It's right there for Lara if he wants it after the Ishe Smith fight. He could be 1 or 2 wins away from forcing a mandatory shot(Haymon fighters and mando's:rofl) against GGG.
I doubt Lara moves up though because he was just talking on twitter.

Typical hate talk. The reason Cotto beat the "man" (Martinez, a welterweight) is that Sergio wanted NO PART of Golovkin, choosing to fight no-names Brits like Barker, Murray and Macklin.

GGG has been and is still being ducked like crazy. Now Cotto has inherited the "Duck Title" and is the one who will duck GGG.

Anyone who knows the difference between shiit and chocolate knows that GGG is the best MW out there by a country mile.

 

Yes he dropped down in rankings, but had the championship policy remained, he would have remained as their champion.

The holder of the lineage doesn't have to be the best, but they are the true Champion.

 

All this lineage bullshiit is just a way to nut-hug your favorite fighter.

Boxing is the only sport in which an athlete can avoid certain opponents he thinks could beat him. The only logical thing to do as a fan is to forget about titles and lineage and just look at talent and accomplishments.

The difference between me and the haters is that I actually say who I think the MW champion is: Golovkin. The haters just say GGG isn't the champion, but they don't say who they think IS the champ. That's because they know we'd all laugh at them.:deal

 

why would Cotto be my favourite fighter?

All lineage is is just a way of tracing who beat who. Hopkins unified the division, he lost to Taylor who lost to Pavlik, who lost to Martinez, who lost to Cotto. Golovkin doesn't feature in that lineage as well.

I think Golovkin is the best MW in the world but until he beats the champion I wouldn't call him a champion.

What did I say that was hateful nobody knew who GGG was til last year/end of 12" Martinez has been injured and was planning on fighting GGG if he beat Cotto and Miguel retired him.
Cotto has also said he'll fight GGG should he gets past Canelo (I doubt he will) Cotto is a HOFer and a star, fighters like that getting title shots in there division or the one above has been happening forever it didn't start with him.
If GGG beats the Cotto-Canelo winner next year I'll jump on his bandwagon but right now he's like every other hypejob that was supposedly being ducked. I don't think GGG will ever be Lineal Champ I think Canelo beats him and Cotto. GGG is an exciting fighter hard hitting always gets the KO but nothing he's done so far is noteworthy.

 

I'm just saying that if you think GGG is the greatest MW, then why would you care what the sanctioning bodies think of him. If all the sanctioning bodies decided to give me their belts and call me the undisputed MW champion, would you consider me the champion?

All that matters is who the best is in the eyes of rational fans. At MW, that is obviously GGG. Daniel Geale was considered by many to be the best MW besides GGG, and GGG literally obliterated him. The other top guys have been ducking him like the plague, saying things like "GGG doesn't attract audiences". Yeah right.

 

So completely annihilating Daniel Geale isn't noteworthy? Who was better than Geale before that moment? All the other MWs are ducking GGG because they don't want to end up on a stretcher. GGG is like Earnie Shavers when Joe Frazier and George Foreman were avoiding him like Ebola. The difference is that GGG has a belt and a chin.
