Now that he seems back on track, Im expecting big things. I can see the brothers holding straps at the same time
Why are you so high on the froch fight he barely showed anything in terms of ability he might have won but it was unbelievable y negative and so many tight rounds due to no action
His future is telling people at the bar who he is and showing them a youtube clip before pressuring them to buy him a drink and then maybe pay for half his salad if the bars' kitchen is respectable enough.
The guys active again and hes not "past it" Hes over a year younger than GGG Watch out in the next year
He's (deservedly) getting a lot of **** of here, but I agree with this. Kessler wasted several years of his prime and he came back brilliantly. So long as Dirrell is focussed, and has maybe swapped Shaw Hi for a good sports psychologist, 2015 could be a verree interesting And a fight with Ward would be perfect - he's been incredibly inactive himself - and no one really wants to fight him. Think of what a W over Ward would do for erasing Dirrell's past
You are exaggerating massively. It was a razor thin close fight up until the last couple of rounds, we basically had Dirrell running and not throwing anything and Froch aimlessly chasing him, having no luck and then resorting to rough house tactics. Only the last 2-3 rounds has Dirrell started to engage a little bit and he was having success in those rounds. So yes, I think Dirrell deserved to win, but the fight was nothing like you described.
So where DOES this notion that he's mentally weak come from? Is it because you think he faked the Abraham thing or something that happened before the S6?
The fight was close, but Dirrell should have won. However, fans need to realize when you fight like a coward, you will not be rewarded. That is not a shot on Dirrell's boxing ability, but even the biggest Dirrell nut swallower can admit he ran the entire fight. I think he is great, yes the point is to hit and not be hit, but judges do not favor that type of fighter when you literally run away.
LOL! What is "fighting like a coward"? I hear this a lot from people who have probably never fought competitively. It was Dirrell's job to fight his fight and it was Froch's job to do the same. From my viewpoint, Dirrell did his job better than Froch. Dirrell would have been foolish to get in a slugging contest with Froch. "Fight like a coward". What the hell does that evern mean? Does Hopkins "fight like a coward" when he stinks the fight up using his spoiler tactics?
I love Dirrell , I find him enjoyable to watch . He can very well take over the 175 pound division . Im not saying its going to be easy to do it , theres a couple of fighters up there he needs to be cautious of but he definitely have enough skill to succeed in that division .
Idk, I get the feeling he probably saw what his bro went thru and some of Anthony's toughness or willing to fight more aggressive might of rubbed off some on Andre. I really hope so. The AA fight just gave him a bad rep, tho wasn't his fault. But has a great chance to redeem himself.
