Since 2007 Mayweather has been fighting guys either on the Pfp list or guys coming off a big win and sometimes both. Still, you have people calling him a cherry picker. I guess he's been cherry picking the best.

Dam seems the criteria is slipping if a guy like Gurrero can make the list .But then again he had some success in multiple divisions so I see why

  6. If I remember correctly Mayweather offered Hatton the fight at 140 but Hatton opted for Mausa instead. This was when Hatton was still with ****** so maybe ****** didn't want to take the risk with his cash cow. I seem to remember Hatton splitting with ****** just before the Mausa fight and he said after the fight he was fighting angry with that on his mind.

It did make perfect business sense though for Hatton to go to the states and build his name before the floyd fight and that was the fight HBO had in mind for quite some time before it happened.

I also remember that Hatton was going to fight Gatti if he beat floyd but when Floyd won that fight out the window.

A 4 weight titlist/2 division Champ jumped up and beatdown two top 10 WW that's almost the definition of P4P.
**** man I'm a Marquez fan but why the hell is he P4P right now when he'd lose to every top WW outside of Pacquiao for beating Manny 2 years ago.
How does Donaire go from P4P #2/3 to unranked due to 1 loss yet Pacquiao can lose basically 3 fights in a row and only drop from 2 to 4.
I don't make em I just present the facts as they're laid out.

Mayweather is currently second only to Pacman for most P4P rated fighters fought and beat. No other active fighter is even close to these two for what it's worth.

Fighters rated P4P when May beat them:

    Corrales
    Judah
    Hatton
    Marquez
    Mosley
    Guerrero
    Saul

Mosley was #3 after beating Margarito. Though, certainly questionable to push him so high for beating the #6 P4P fighter while not previously being rated P4P.

Guerrero snunk in at #10 after beating Berto and for staying undefeated for so long. But he never dominated a divison or was the top guy or anything, so questionable as well. He just jumped up a few divisons, picking off vulnerable top 5 rated guys.

I'm not really sure but I think I remember Carlos Baldomir briefly listed on the pfp list around the time Mayweather fought him.

Mosley @ #3 for beating Margarito and Mayorga??????:-(
Further proof of why PFP lists hold very little weight.

Nah, nobody rated Baldomir. Even after Judah. Judah kept his #10 P4P as of April 06. Fair or not.
