So think, top ten types, think locks but a little loose, that got beat by one guy. Example: Ali beat - Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Sonny Liston.

So who - whatever the circumstances then we'll talk about the cirucmstnaces - has multiple top ten ATG one weight type resumes?

Holyfield beat Holmes, Foreman, Tyson, Bowe but only drew with Lennox lewis. Not sure if Qawi or DeLeon would qualify in the cruiserweight category, as i guess it would depend on whether or not those from earlier generations (before title was invented) qualified. I would say they probably wouldnt, otherwise his record would take some beating. Also, i have seen Michael Moorer listed in the occassinal light heavyweight top 10, although i wouldnt have him there.

Robinson, Harry Greb and Ezzard Charles might be the only guys with a win over a Top 10 pound-for-pound great (Armstrong/Walker/Moore).

Harada beat Ebihara and Kingpetch, who aren't in my top ten flyweights but could arguably be.

Arguello beat Chacon, Limon and Boza (135) who could all scrape the lower top ten of 130.

Genaro beat Pancho Villa a few times, 'Memphis' Pal Moore and Charles 'Bud' Taylor; the first a certified top ten fly and the latter two arguably latter top ten bantams.

I don't think Norton deserves a top 10 Ranking all things being considered. In fact I'm not even sure that I have him in my top 20.

Its an interesting proposition and, since I've been unrelentingly irascible towards some on here,[not without just cause,] I will endeavour to partly redeem myself by mentioning three I'm fairly confident no-one else will.

It hinges of course on one's own interpretation of "ATG", but you added the caveat "type", so some leeway there.

    Battling Battalino Beat Boxers Below:
    Fidel La Barba
    Freddie Miller
    Al Singer
    Kid Chocolate

    Bushy Graham
    Panama Al Brown
    Andre Routis

Sammy Mandell Made Mincemeat Meals of:
    Tony Canzoneri
    Billy Petrolle
    Rocky Kansas
    Jimmy McLarnin

Jackie Kid Berg Belligerently Battered with Bombast Boxers:

Kid Chocolate *Chocolate was conceding weight.

Not just ATGs but those that could be put in a top ten for their weight class (guess McGrain also means that they were beaten in the weight classes they were ATGs in)

    Yes.

So so far we've got Ali and McClarnin as the best answers. Anyone else?
