    Yeh...some good posts..
Just to point out tho.. Dick Sadler was on the last fight of his contract with Foreman. He ended up in Ali's corner in later fights...although i cannot see what he would bring...
It's George's corner that brings my suspicions.
I agree with the poster who says Foreman is over rated....( hugely IMO ).

    Very true.

George should just own up to the fact that he was beaten by a far better fighter on that night. No disgrace to losing to the number one heavy of all time. Foreman makes himself look dumb whenever he stokes up the conspiracy theories

I don't think George was overrrated. His raw power is rightly lauded. It was more a case of Ali being his kryptonite

Ali fought a better fight against Liston, but then again he had more speed and agility too...

You have to speak to people at the time to truly understand the feeling back then. My dad is a huge ali fan and back then people were praying for this fight not to happen as there were fears ali would be killed by the young powerful hungry Foreman. I bet the Foreman beating of frazier led to these fears.

Considering his own limitations against a young powerful opponent who was rightly expected to pulverize him, ali came up with the best strategy and Foreman was dumb enough to fall for it.

No way Foreman was over rated, just out-matched by a great boxer who was able to get Foreman out of there.

    Fixed

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Just one thing, it might be worth folks looking for pre fight tapes of Ali. He simply ridicules the idea that he could lose to fool like Foreman. He was far from his normal bragging self, he actually got very serious, and annoyed when people suggested someone as crude as Foreman could actually beat him.
