He's like a Tom stalker, very good amateur who's style doesn't make for a top pro

I hate Frankie Gavin with a passion, but reluctantly I have to admit he does have a lot of talent it's just 147 is a very strong division. If he can make 140 he'd probably do well. At 147 he doesn't have a chance LMAO.

He needs to get down to 140 and up sticks and seclude himself, IMO.

He is fighting at the wrong weight and apparently knocks about with a bad crowd.

I bet he wished that he stayed an amateur now!

OK you really hate Frankie Gavin we can sense that mate....

Why would he wish he'd have stayed amateur when he just lost a really close split decision to a world class fighter and is probably making more money as a pro. He has a lot of talent, his career is far from over there will be many successful Gavin nights to come.

    I don't at all, 'mate'.

His career is 6 years old and he still isn't past the Euro-Level stage.

Frankie is a fantastic fighter, but he could do with dropping down a a weight-class. Anyone with a brain will tell you that.

naah Mate.. Bundu is a top 10 world level welter and that decision couldve gone either way, what's wrong with Euro level anyway you are talking about it like it's midlands area level  He's proved already that at the very least he's gonna be a long lasting european champion and challenge for a world title. Welterweight is one of the strongest divisions in boxing so there's no massive shame in not being one of the best there seeing as though only mayweather, pacqauio and brook are the champions!
I agree he could do with dropping down cause light welter is much weaker you have average fighters like Peterson holding titles there, but it looks like he is never gonna drop down so what's the point in talking about it.

He's under-sized at the weight, has a punch that won't deter world class opposition and - wose than all of that - is boring to watch. The one true benefit of being unbeaten is that it gives you a free pass for being 'boring'. People will still be interested, after all... nobody has beaten that fighter etc. Once you lose the '0', it helps if your fights are not super desperately dull. Frankie's fights, the observant will have noticed, are always a snooze fest.

Getting floored by a light-punching 39 year old and Sacky Shikukutu hasn't PROVED that.

Gavin can deffo be world class, he has the best footwork of any uk boxer in the last 10 years, and as was shown in his last fight, has a pair of bollox to get back up , survive a round, and get back into the fight.

    Agreed.

Gavin showed he was World class in the first 5 rds of the Bundu fight.

Actually i think the Bundu loss could prove to be the best thing that happened to him, he does have the tendency to go into 'auto pilot' during fights and that knockdown in 6th rd came about because he switched off so will be a wake up call to him that he has to concentrate for the full 12 rds.

Gavin is technically brilliant. He might not win a world title but he is world class for sure.
