why is saunders just a slight favorite over Eubank jr?

yh saunders should be a bigger favourite than that

 

I think you'll find by the time we're in the week of the fight the odds will have dropped to Evens.

On paper this fight is a mis-match but fights are fought in the ring not by record and i just think Eubank jr is the better all round athlete plus has far quicker hand and foot speed plus his power is better too.

It's going to be one hell of a fight but if i had to make a prediction it would be Eubank jr to win by 8th rd KO.

 

He isn't ' far quicker' no way. Saunders probably has the edge in speed!
All eubank jnr has better is his newly found power, earlier in his career he was looking seriously feather fisted.. and seriously **** struggling with Terry Carruthers and Jason Ball

Maybe Eubank Jnr will last the distance if he has inherited his dad's chin.
But Saunders will be far too talented, fast, skilful, slick, his all round boxing abilty. ring IQ and amateur pedigree will shine through. Eubank Jnr might rock him a couple of times with his power put on points it will be a landslide.

I see it being similar to Martinez vs Chavez Jnr.

 

To be honest i didn't think much of Eubank jr at the start of his career but i think he's improved massively in the last 12 months to the point that i'm now a believer.

He'll always have a certain amount of the 'unorthodox' to his game and be infuriating too but when he puts his punches together he can look very special.

So refreshing that two good, young, unbeaten prospects are being matched at this stage in their careers. It’s kinda like when Groves & De Gale fought. Similarly, I believe that the loser can still go on to challenge for world titles down the line.

Leaning towards Saunders by UD at the moment but if Eubank ups his work rate then I wouldn’t be suprised if he got Saunders out of there.

 

Eubank Jr wasn't exactly shabby as an amateur, only losing to the US champion by 1pt who was five years his senior. And BJS isn't exactly Hernandez!

 

Groves was floored the first time in that KO in which it changed the linear backwards history.

A Smith KOing Abraham in II wouldn't change history because it always was.. or always wasn't.


Froch didn't crush Groves twice etc.


It's not just me.. if you look on Groves/Froch II on YT you'll see one or two other people say "the ref stopped Groves from getting up".


Even if Groves himself doesn't want to leave a bad taste in people's mouths.

eubank jr career seems like a similar situation to anthony mundine from australia, fought bums coming up, no amature experience, EVERY BODY SAID he will loose his next fight, opponent too much experience etc , great genetics can alot of the time out shine experience. eubank has this.

 

But history states that Jermain Taylor beat Bernard Hopkins twice.

Coz Froch was also a betting favourite in both fights I'm saying.

 

And Froch also won both fights.
