Who will you be rooting for: Hopkins or Kovalev?

    I´m rooting for Kovalev, but every guy I root for against Bernard loses...So there you have it. Bernard is going to win and it´s probably going to be a schooling if I know my luck. Kovalev is of course unproven, but it would be nice to get a new young champion.

    :huh Hopkins MW division was considered anything but stacked.

    Take out the guys who moved up (Tito and Oscar most notably) and Hopkins MW resume is barely passable.

    FWIW his list of wins against genuine LHWs doesn't make especially impressive reading either (the win against a not far off prime Tarver being his most impressive performance IMO).

    Make no mistake, I've got huge respect for Hopkins and his consistency is the key to what makes him so special, but although he's stayed at the top of the game whilst all around him have faded, his actual wins against top class fighters of his own weight don't make extensive reading.

    I'd like to see Kovalev win, Hopkins has had his time and frankly SK is the more entertaining fighter to watch.
