    Hey guys,

I've to write an essay on the ''influence of technology on modern boxing'' as a paper for college.

Can anyone who has a lot of knowledge in boxing training give me some stuff to work with ? I boxe as an amateur, but this goes as far, I've only had 7 fights ... so I don't know all the ''big'' training methods etc

    Thanks !

Probably the biggest thing, was in the middle 60s. Rubber soles replaced leather ones, it changed movement and feel response. changed from shuffle to step. You didnt polish the floor anymore, as the saying went.

I see I see, I will include a ''ring'' category than, will need to do some researches on that since I don't have that much knowledge on that ( and I guess pro and amateur rings are different )

In the 70s i had a pair of those old leather soled boots made by 'Spalding' but never competed in them.
My mate borrowed them to fight in and of course without the rosin in the ring they were completely useless.when he got knocked down and stopped the boots got the blame :lol:
