Is this the most talented boxer we have in our shores today, He has great handspeed, good defensive skills, good bodywork, great iq, decent power and he is very confident. Hes got it all in bundles, he moved up and was dwarfed up by stuart hall, and hall is one tough competitor but he still stole his title. vacated then moved back down to super flyweight and yesterday he put on an absolute masterclass against a tough mexican, who was very game and took a huge amount of punishment. butler showed his capabilities on the back foot and on the ropes he just rolled with the punches and block mostly with his shoulders, then went on the front foot and basically controlled the fight with his left hand hooks to body and head, which he throws with great technique.

What do you think of him?

Agree p4p the most skillful boxer in Britain for me, his defence sets him apart from other British fighters very relaxed on the ropes great to watch!

I think he's one of the best talents in British Boxing although the one attribute he lacks is punching power. I also would have liked him to step on the gass last night and get the Mexican kid out of there so i would say at times he's a bit too patient and methodical for his own good. He's still only 25 years old though and developing his ring craft, by another 12-18 months he could have matured into something very special.

Zolani Tete is a huge test of him, this is no easy fight as Tete is ranked the Number 2 at Super Flyweight by Ring Magazine plus he can punch too.

If Butler can beat Tete in their re-scheduled February fight then i expect him to become a big draw in Liverpool where he already has a good following.

5'9 72inch reach tete :scaredas: on a super flyweight, thats a big super flyweight. wonder how butler would deal with him. also think butler was trying to stop his man last night but was no need to get reckless, he pummelled him.

    The lad oozes class.

Obv i'm slightly biased but I dont think he lacks power at all. You could hear how heavy them shots were, think its a little unfair to take credit from Butler for not stopping the Mexican over giving the Mexican full credit for being able to take it.

His power is good, and certianly good enough to reach the top, you dont need great power when you got everything else in the locker. hope he rules the lower weights, i dont know anyone from super fly mind you. ali raymi moves up to fight butler. ali raymi comes to england

He is good, but some are hard to judge. Brook and Selby both look like they have more gears to come. But will they find them?

Deluded. Quigg and McDonnell have paper titles and have fought no-one. Frampton is getting there, but needs to fight a string of top fighters.
