He fights total bums, what's his best win?? that awful yank he fought at Wembley lol that yank would lose to Tobias Webb! He's been a pro for 5 years and he doesn't have any good wins. The one good fighter he fought in Groves he lost. He also got a lucky decision against that Pole he fought he lost that one too. Why has he been protected so much? is he getting beat up in sparring or something? does he have a shaky chin? He just seems to fight the same standard of opposition over and over again. Why the hell don't they step him up. Periban is just the same as all the bums he's been fighting. I think degale has talent but something isn't right with the way they are protecting him. He certainly lacks power, when he steps up all his wins will be on points and opponents won't respect his punch power and will walk through him. He'll never be a top 5 super middle.Callum Smith will have a better win than Degale after 1 year as a pro if he wins his next fight.
would also be interesting to see his opponents KO ratio's as they are clearly avoiding punchers with him.
Piotr Wilczewski for Euro title in 11th fight beat him, he went onto push Abraham really close, when Abraham wasnt shot. Brandon Gonzales was a fringe contender and unbeaten He lost a super tight decision to Groves How can you call Periban a bum, the guy is fighting at world and fringe world level. Callum Smith next fight is against a guy who is 36 and claim to fame is clear defeats to past prime Abraham and Sakio Bika. On Callum Smith this huge puncher, Biosse was stopped by Love and Dirrell neither are noted punchers. Smith has a long way to go.
I like Chunky .. but he does really need to step up now and fight someone like Steiglitz or Bika. Brandon Gonzales was dog shiite!
A bit harsh. That 'awful yank' as you describe him was unbeaten, dangerous and had not long beaten Oosthuizen. Degale battered him. And Periban is no bum. Degale has not been able to land a monster fight against an established star, but he ain't doing bad. He has got himself into a mandatory position now so the big fights should happen if he wins.
Anyone that thinks Tobias Webb beats Brandon Gonzales doesn't know **** about boxing, although that won't come as a surprise to anyone that has read a One to watch thread before.
