Why Aren't More People Questioning Whether Hopkins is on PED's?

I think it should be the standard, randomly, year round.

Yeah, maybe you're right. It's funny because Floyd stopped bringing up testing vis-a-vis Pacquiao after he agreed to do it but many of his superfans still bring it up lol. Sometimes I feel like it's 2010 when I talk to people about that. If Hopkins pulls some **** like he did during the first Dawson fight I will refer to him as "B-Flop". You got your testosterone replacement therapy and you are going for history so fight honest and win, lose or draw the fans will respect you bro.

If anyone's integrity should be questioned regarding PEDs going into this fight, it's Kovalev's, not Hopkins. After all, isn't he the one with the freakish power that more closely resembles the type of Home Run power that guys like Mark McGwire and Barry Bonds possessed? A "real life Ivan Drago" who has literally killed someone and has inexplicably freakish power?

    But you agree, though, no?

Between Hopkins and Kovalev, the one with freakish power is the one who is more suspect when it comes to taking illegal performance enhancers?

I do agree about the "freakish" power but Kovalev doesn't raise any eyebrows IMO.

Like Alexthegreat stated, anybody is suspect. The thing is, Kovalev has always been a huge puncher and he even has the stereotypical build of a huge puncher because most big punchers below heavyweight are lanky.

You are correct that there hasn't been major changes but PED's can help a person in regards to stamina, recovery from injury (a huge aid for a near 50 year old man) and physical strength in the clinches which an older man would want when facing much younger opponents. Whatever decline he has experienced in the past 10 years would have been even greater without PED's if he indeed has been on them.

Please someone show me how Hopkins has benefited from PEDs?

    Is he punching harder?
    Is he faster?
Is he more athletic than ever before?
Does he have endless amounts of stamina?

Same ******s.claim Hopkins has to cheat and fake low blows to get himself a breather.

    Think before you accuse him.

Sure, anyone is suspect. But when it comes between a 49 year old man who is clearly been in decline for more than 10 years, or some freak who is stopping guys with soft jabs to the body. Well, clearly Kovalev is far more suspect than Hopkins.

I personally wouldn't be surprised if Kovalev eventually gets caught cheating.

You could right, I am just saying that there have been some vicious punchers in boxing history. Julian Jackson I believe is the hardest puncher pound for pound of all time. I had 10 amateur fights (santioned and unsanctioned) and my boxing skills were nothing special but my power was. I am 6' tall and fought at 147 and with headgear on and 16 ounce gloves I knocked out bigger guys with one punch in the gym and in some fights and I have never taken anything illegal in my life. Some people are just freakishly strong. I can curl my body weight and do 100 straight pushups without stopping and I am 40 years old.

Alright, take it easy buddy no need to start name calling. Let's keep the discourse respectful. In the case of Hopkins, the PED's wouldn't necessarily increase his speed or stamina but rather slow down the decline. It's analogous to a balding dude taking propecia. He may not grow back much hair but it will preclude him from losing more.

So basically, in YOUR mind - Hopkins is suspect despite the fact you cannot pinpoint any evidence - whereas Kovalev with his murderous power is less suspect?

    Okay.
