    Ward without a doubt.

But Froch has been more active.

Jermaine taylor beat Hopkins twice, Barkey beat Hearns twice, don't necessarily make them better fighters.

I think froch has better wins in his career than Ward, so have voted for him.

Its close between Ward and Froch.
Ward beat Froch in a close competitive fight, but Froch has done things Ward hasnt in fighting top undefeated SMWs and Froch has faced overall tougher challenges.
I guess as Ward holds a win over Froch, you would have to say Ward is the better fighter, but Froch arguably has a better SMW resume and I think Ward is getting credit for what Froch is doing whilst not actually doing much in the ring of late.
I will say Ward but can see an arguement for Froch.

Its like many would rate Hopkins above Dawson, yet Dawson has a win over Hopkins

These polls just show how clouded by emotion posters on this site are.

Consistency is not their strong suit.

Yeah I voted for Froch because I'm a confessed Ward hater but I know Ward is a much better fighter than Froch

It has to be Froch because he's fought the most top names in the division and he's still an active fighter.

Ward may be the best and most talented fighter in the division but he took a year and two month to have another fighter after Dawson, he's spent almost a year inactive since his last fight and has no fights schedules for the near future.

In terms of who is the best "title holder" in the division one can only really pick the most active one with the best resume.

Ward and it isn't close. Those voting for Froch must have missed that absolute schooling Ward put on him... And I really like Froch.

If this poll was asking who the best fighter was I would have voted for Ward without hesitation, but that's not what the poll is about. It's asking who's the best champion not who's the best fighter. A great champion defends his belt regularly against quality opposition - Ward hasn't done that Froch has.

And Ward is still clearly the best at 168. :deal
