    Silly to think that Roy was ducking Joe. Joe was on nobody's radar in the US until the Lacy fight. If Joe were truly serious about going after Hopkins and Roy, he would have fought in the US a half decade earlier, gained a following, and demanded the fights during post-fight interviews with Larry Merchant.

    Problem with his story is RJJ was Lt heavy and Joe was 168 and unknown with a Moe hair cut.
    Second it was Joe who hit the deck against a slow old jones not the other way around.

    What does anything he did BEFORE boxing have to do with his boxing career? At the end of the day Hopking will be looked upon thru history much more favorably than Calzaghe.

    What Calzaghe is saying maybe true, RJJ always looked for the path of least resistance after beating Toney and didn't fight many other top fighters but it's ironic because Calzaghe was hardly going out of his way back then to seek the toughest fights. Ducked his mandatory for over 2 years, no rematches in close fights and then to accuse someone else of ducking while he was fighting the Evan Ashira's and Tocker Pudwill's is laughable.

    Calzaghe pulled out of numerous fights when he got scared. Heck he even almost bottled it against Lacy.

    Chased Roy Jones my ass. People in his own country did not even know who he was, never mind across the pond.

    The time Collins got in the ring was after the Frazier fight.

    When Collins had been retired for 2 years....from a division below the one Jones fought in.

    So instead of fighting Collins, he instead went on to fight a title holder at 175 who had a victory over Collins...

    Whioch do you think was the more legitimate fight?
