The kid has a great multifaceted game, great power, excellent defense, outstanding finishing ability.

He's got ONE minor question mark, and that's how well will his chin hold out once he starts fighting at his full weight, which will likely be 160-168.

Myself, I think his chin "deficiency", if you can even call it that, is soley because he's weight draining. Once he begins fighting at the MORE natural wieght of 154, which should be in the next 18 mos, IMO, we won't be seeing no more early scares, and we'll begin to see more KO2's and KO4's vs the fringe contenders he'll be fighting on his way up the ranks.

Only 25 yo.......hell.....he could be around 10 yrs or more, at or near the elite of the game.dealthumbsupthumbsup

 

Its understandable .

The kid has an attractive style . I also like the way he carries himself . Hes makin a lot of noise , dropping people left and right .

Yet he still not full of himself and remains humble . I appreciate that .

But going by his interviews, Thurman plans to unify the belts and basically go for a long reign.

Regarding his chin, i dont think its that bad, to me it seems hes too eager and rushes in and leaves himself open

 

Thurmans punches even sound different to most fighters.

Just listen to the bombs he was hitting Quintana with.

 

Its safe to say he will vacate that belt very soon .
