Can any of you old timers tell us young bucks what it felt watching the fight back in 74. I've read somewhere that at least 20 percent of the worlds population either watched or listened to the fight on the television and radio.

The lack of a rematch is what annoys me.

How can you criticise ali for not rematching when he beat foreman so emphatically. Seriously.

  8. George Foreman

Just didn't get acclimated to the climate in Zaire.

His body did not agree with the 'slow-heavy air' of the Congo area.

It was the 'humidity' that did George in. And by the end of Round 2,
    his lungs were burning.

Muhammad, on the other hand, was a resting sort of guy in the early
going. He did not burn up any energy, as he did little.

Was Muhammad 'smart', or was George just plain 'foolish' in this bout.

I believe, it was just 'Dumb Luck' on Muhammad's part.

Ali was beating him to the punch and landing most of the clean shots to the head throughout the fight. He absorbed some viscious body shots, but the revisionist history surrounding this fight is ridiculous.

Ali was winning even and making Foreman look stupid even before Foreman gassed.

    Ali is TBHWE.

As for non-HWs, there's a number of guys Mayweather is inferior to. Or at least, he sure as hell hasn't proven to be better or greater than them.
