booth has it bang on

Im a big fan of matchroom and sky sports, but he has it bang on here all sky boxing have done here is condense a whole months Saturday fight nights into one November night of boxing and charged us £15 for the privilege. The fans are been ripped off here

 

Completely agree. I'm going to the fight myself so glad it's a stacked card, but you would much rather have a whole month of sat fight nights than one ppv event. Hopefully the next time hearn does a ppv like this one he needs more 50/50 fights, having an extra fight on there to the level of quigg Galahad as kugan suggested I don't think many would have been complaining about this being ppv.

 

Anyone who buys this PPV is a mug, simple as.

 

It would have been so much better to split this 'stacked card into three shows throughout November and called 'Saturday fight night'

Let quigg headline a Manchester show, groves, Joshua and degale headline a London show, third week let these two headline a Liverpool show and then lets have a week off from Matchroom and watch BJS and eubank jnr

 

Didn't like booth much before but he speaks sense in this interview. If this kind of crap becomes routine for Ppv its bad news for uk boxing imo.

 

Don't think this is a ppv card but am gonna buy it, as I want to see it.

 

This was fairly common all that long ago, remember a FW card I saw in liverpool was PPV and that was a joke, just like cleverly a first world title fight being a PPV with degale v groves originally as support

 

I'm guessing Booth was dead against Haye v Audley on PPV as well....... Oh wait.

true but when was the last sky heavyweight world title fight not a PPV (esp involving a brit in europe since they had PPVs?)

 

But at least Haye-Harrison felt like an event. It was for a title. It had two big personalities involved. It felt big.

Clev-Bellew is just laughable. Its not even that interesting. And I haven't seen or heard of half of the guys on the undercard.

 

Seriously are we saying haye harrison was a more worthy ppv than this? That was a **** card with a joke of a main event. Don't get me wrong bellew clev isn't ppv in my opinion but this is a much better card.

 

Don't condone either but Haye-Harrison was more of a PPV by definition. Heavyweight title, big names, history, storyline, mainstream appeal etc.

This one coming up isn't on the radar at all :?

 

It was ppv because at the time david haye was the biggest star in british boxing and was a former multi belt world champ at cruiser and at the time was wba heavyweight champ.

You were paying for the fighter more so than the fight the same as you did for some of hamed,hatton and lewis's fights.

Lewis vs botha a ppv fight?

Of course not but at the time who ever lewis fought you had to pay 15 to watch him and haye was in that same position.

Carl froch is in that position now,he could fight donald duck and you will still have to pay 15 because he's earned his place at the top of the table.
