Could not agree more with your post. Bellew plays to the cameras, has admitted it, though he genuinely hates Clev. Look at him and the Smith bros, they all seem down to earth grounded guys, that have time for the people. I think a lot of that's down to their old coach Jimmy Albertino 'Albo' as you see on their shorts, that tells me he like the Smiths is grounded and don't forget were they come from, which is great to see.
No, Tony told truth, guy is basing that on him starving himself to make LHW and of course his temperament was different then. Look at him for weigh ins, build ups at CW he has been shaking his opponents hands at press conferences and weigh ins (wont with Clev as he hates him). Guy is basing his opinions on old clips that's all, not a true reflection to current situation.
Bellew got battered by fighter he himself described as a "Midget" In my opinion Bellew embarrassed himself and British boxing that night by running after all the boasts he made pre fight. Go and watch that fight again, Bellew fought frightened. I do not like Clevely that much either but at least at the end of the Kovalev fight he stood and tried to fight, he tried to punch his way out of a bad situation, yes he got battered but he didn't run and he didn't end up in a corner getting spanked by a "Midget".
and bellew could of actually done alot better using his height and reach vs stevenson, if he actually threw some punches, fonfara gave a far better showing than bellew, hurting stevenson a few times and dropping him. but he then had the audicity to call kovalev just a puncher, it would of been an even bigger destruction if kovalev fought bellew that night. :bbb
To be fair you can take the **** out of what he says but he isn't lying is he? Nobody but himself and those around him know about the weight and you don't know his determination in the ring in terms of if he is willing to die in the ring. He was a novice, he does speak the truth, he has had more fights now so he isn't a novice, he is a big puncher and as a matter of fact he doesn't state that he is a one punch KO artist or anything like that it is the people around him that say it.
