The proximate origin of all hominids is Africa, but 'Homo' is just the genus; 'Neanderthal' is the SPECIES, and different species of hominid have evolved outside of Africa.

That by itself doesn't make it logical. There are lots of problems with the mulitregional postulation...

Well, you're not really equipped to make those judgements. Unless you're an evolutionary biologist?

I never said all species came from Africa. Stop creating straw men.

Why dont you stop trying to correct people when what they stated was factually correct.

And should I beileve *you're* equipped to poke holes on the OOA theory? That is unless you're an evolutionary biologist.

Scientists do not have all of the answers, that's the wonderful thing about science its not set in stone, its not dogmatic, scientists when presented with new evidence take it into consideration, analyze it and see if it makes sense and if it does add it to the theories, some new evidence invalidate older theories, what you guys are trying to do is pick the one theory that fits your political agenda and run with it and ignore all the others opinions, opinions and evidence you disagree with, which is a very,.... reactionary totalitarian way to look at things.

Not at all - I'm just deferential to whoever the professionals are. I'm not equipped to critique or expatiate anymore than you are. But multiregionalism is now the orthodox model - genetics has invalidated Out Of Africa - that's the reason for the ascendency of multiregionalism.

The multiregional postulation is NOT orthodox. Certainly not because *you* say it is. Like I said, it has problems and requires some logical gymnastics.

And you still haven't answered my question; are modern Non-Africans Homo-Sapiens Sapiens? Yes or no?

Thanks for explaining this a little more in depth, this is exactly what I was pointing out, but I was trying to use laymen's terms to explain it with. So other readers might get it a little better.:good

Genetics has traced Hominids out of Africa. The fact different species evolved and interbred outside of Africa doesn't change that fact.
