I don't think Bhop can tap the chin, however, he may cut him around the eyes and risk taking some shots to go for the tko. This is doable because Kovalev will be going all out and he cuts easily as we saw in the Agnew fight
But I wouldn't say Kovalev is nothing- one big shot and Bhops career could be over

The only time that I'd bet against Bernard Hopkins would be against Old Father Time. One day he'll catch up to Nard. I know it wont be this time

Pretty bold move, when you are predicting that big favourite will win.betting odds are about 75-25 on Kovalev side.

I don't know, man. Nard is getting older by the second. I do worry for him in this fight more so because of that. Father Time is on his way and due for arrival any day now. Krusher is a dangerous opponent at this stage compared to all of Nard's previous bouts where he was the underdog. Hopkins defied the odds then, but he's not even close to the same fighter who put on a clinic against Pavlik and Cloud. He's virtually half a century old trying to remain at the very top level in the most demanding sport there is.

Having said that, I got nothing against Sergey Kovalev. He's great for the LHW division and for boxing. He clearly stated that he wants to test himself in this fight against an ATG. And he is willing to fight anyone in his division, on top of taking care of business with a crowd pleasing style. But I'd be lying right now if I said I wasn't pulling for The Alien to actually show up as "The Executioner" instead and defy the odds once again on November 8th.

Hopkins is a TRUE warrior and history will look kindly upon his storied career, whether someone is a fan of his or not. No matter the result, boxing itself wins next week.

This could be an embarrassment for Hopkins. Even more so than the Calzaghe fight where he had to resort to rolling around on the floor gasping for breath like a beached seal to buy some time.

Hope this cheating, overrated trash gets sparked out.

Rumors are that Hopkins will own the referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., so he will fall down on the canvas and complain like he did against Dawson, will try to get Kovalev disqualified......................remember....................who owns the ref, judges, boxing commission, etc.?

Hopkins will make this a **** fight to watch. Kovalev will take it on the cards imo. Hopkins will negate the **** out of Kovalev at every opportunity but he's too old to win this one.

    Bhop gonna Bhop.

    Yes.

It's a Golden Boy-promoted fight, and Bernard Hopkins is a part-owner of Golden Boy Promotions.

With fair officiating, Kovalev would win easily...

But I have a feeling something dirty is going to happen next Saturday.

Cleverly TKOed Murat who went the distance with Hopkins & Kovalev TKOed Cleverly like a sledge hammer vs grape.

Hopkins got a points win over Shumenov and Shumenov had a points win and a draw vs Campillo while Kovalev once again played the role of sledge hammer to Campillo's grape.

So Kovalev has been in the neighborhood Hopkins is in and Kovalev left some roadkills along the way.

I think Kovalev's timing is going to make this a short fight. Not to mention the body attack that flattened Agnew and Capparello.

The head butts and low blows were the only effective things Agnew did vs Kovalev but I suspect the end result will be the same with Hopkins. Kovalev via KO.
