And where did you hear that?

In one of his interview he was kind of leaning that way, but was that official?

Yeah that's a good point , wasn't on the level of Pacquio though and bute completely fell off now and may not have been in that class anyway . There's still nobody that people think would beat ward and mayweather hasn't even fought the number 1 and 2 guys

No, Hopkins agreed to fight Kovalev. You don't really follow the current boxing news closely do you?

But neither Hopkins nor Ward will ever agree to random PED testing.

Ward was definitely top 3 P4P but he hasn´t fought almost a year. He shouldn´t even be on the list in two weeks time. IMO Mayweather is clearly number 1 until he loses or retire. P4P list is a matter of opinion. After Mayweather I would include Rigo, Wlad, Ward, Kovalev, GGG, Crawford, Cotto, Froch, Danny Garcia in no particular order. Ward will be out in two weeks time and Kovalev will drop down if he looses to Hopkins.

Ward is an excellent fighter but he could be beaten by guys like Kovalev, Beterbiev, Stevenson, Hopkins or Dirrell. We don´t know that because he doesn´t fight the best guys anymore.

I don´t understand why is he calling GGG when he has high caliber guys closer to his weight. If I remember correctly, he was saying that Dirrell is his friend and don´t want to fight him. Stevenson was calling him on television but he still didn´t want no part of him.

Kovalev has been building his name and to me he is already more popular than Ward. I understand that Beterbiev hasn´t got the name to make a good fight in business wise but still he would be a big challenge for sure.

And what about Hopkins? Hopkins was around the last two years and it would have been a ppv in 2013 - a money fight.

Ward has ducked Dirrell, Bute and Stevenson in mentioned order. Sooner or later at least some of his present fans will realise somethings up with him. Everyone save trolls agree he has skill, and he might be a stand up guy as well. It's just that he boxes when he can be arsed to, on terms that suits him, and that's not the road to become big in the sport.

In a few years time people might talk about Ward like they do about Calzaghe.

Before he agreed you were saying he'd never fight Kovalev. You know it, i know it and everyone on the scene at the time knows it. Hell, i can probably pull up some of you posts at caste football talking about it. :yep
