Castillo is no more shot than Morales was when Danny rematched him.

Not saying it's a good fight, but cmon.....it's not exactly like ppl are lining up to fight Provo, especially without him holding a belt.

But really, Bob coulda made a fight with Rios or Marquez for that matter. At least Roidquez has found the Heredia miracle fountain of youth. He'd last 6-7 rds before being battered out of the ring.

Castillo still has the warrior mentality, and no peds trainer to give him back his youth.

Pretty much. Ruslan is at least coming off a loss so I can see why his people would want an easy, confidence building fight against a fighter with a name for him but I hate to see these kind of match ups.

Castillo is way WAY more shop worn than Morales was for those fights.

Fighting Morales NOW, would probably be like fighting Castillo now.

Castillo hasn't won a fight of note in about 7 years.

Its been 9 years sine hes held a title at 135.

Morales at least hjad relatively recently pushed Maidana all the way and had beaten Cano who was a solid young fighter

 

people hate on garcia because of his fathers attitude which is a shame cuz danny is quite a good fighter, i admit i did not lik ehim that much until i picked matthyse to beat him and was proven wrong, i ate my humble pie and realized he was a lot better then i had given him credit for. then i log on ESB and see post after post about "hrrr if his eye didnt close hed KO that fool!" or "SO MANY LOW BLOWS"

This is an atrocious, potentially very dangerous fight. It should never have been made and I find it very difficult to believe that they couldn't find anyone better; that's just ridiculous.

 

Just watch, people will overrate Provodkinov if/when he beats Castillo.
