Anything can happen in boxing. Once upon a time I thought it was impossible for Lewis to beat Golota, let alone brutally stopping him in 1.

I always laugh at how 'Nard never just wins a fight. His fans always label it as schooling. Grow up guys.

Personally I think he's getting carried out Saturday but would just as happily be wrong and root for him to win if it weren't for you total nuthuggers and the incessant BS we'll have to hear afterwards.

Did 'Nard not take guys like Trinidad, Tarver, and Pavlik to school, all for fights in which he was a sizable underdog?

This is a pick-em fight. Tremendous experience, craftiness, and ring intelligence vs. a much younger guy with tremendous focus and punching power with a good amateur boxing pedigree. A lot of fans figure Bernard will win and Kovalov has his supporters. I doubt if it is a clean and fair fight that Kovalov fans will whine. Why would they? He is still young and will likely learn from a loss to a great like Bernard.

Because many of them have already been whining for weeks (about a fight that hasn't even freakin' happened yet), and it's intensified as the fight has grown closer.

Hopkins knows he has no chance of winning fairly, so it's certain he'll use lots of deliberate head butts and other illegal tactics. The ref will be on his side as will the judges.

Even the commentators like Max Kellerman will be on B-Hop's side, and overlook his fouling and bad acting.

And for the record, I think Kovalev is very good, and maybe even an excellent fighter. His power is unquestionable, and I understand all of the hype he has behind him, and wouldn't be shocked if he fulfills that potential and winds up being much better than I think he is.

But that's the reason I find this fight so interesting, and why I am more excited for this bout than I have been for any other in several years, is because Kovalev is very good and a worthy opponent for sure.

It's a great clash of both styles and circumstances.

I do believe Hopkins has what it takes to bring Kovalev down a few notches at least, but I have been wrong before.

Either way, I'm tuning in and hoping for something both good and memorable.

You you just copy and paste this same post in EVERY thread about this fight? The Germans did that in WWII, it was called propaganda. :-(

It's pretty much what YOU do, isn't it?
I'm not German. My people were on the winning side in WW II.
