Both Chavez and Quillin refused to fight Golovkin and both would get knocked out.......................

Pretty sure chavez will never be able to get down to 160 again. He'll certainly be demanding catchweights of 165 or more.

So much for the Froch fight or a possible clash with GGG.
    Damn I hate Haymon! :-(

Not really. This was rumoured months ago right around the time of news that the GGG - Jr negotiations had stalled. Some report in the Mexican media suggested Haymon had offered Jr some ridiculously high $ multi-fight deal.

Speculation was that Haymon was mainly trying to mess up another high-profile HBO fight and given his recent track record it's not a hard theory to ascribe to.

You think this is a good thing, I take it? You didn't want to see GGG vs Chavez?
How are GGG and HBO looking dumb? They tried to make a fight in good faith.

In fact Arum and HBO are looking pretty smart right now. If they'd caved in to Jrs demands for a ridiculously high one-off payday (2.5x his Martinez purse) only to have him scurry straight off to Haymon - now then, I'd agree they'd be looking pretty stupid.

Yeah, so long to those fights, but now we can watch Andre Dirrel run for 36 rds in a trilogy vs Jr.:lol::lol:

Actually, that was his second bit of advice. His first bit of advice was not to get in the ring with GGG. Remember he met with Haymon when the GGG fight was in the works and shortly after it fell through.

Arum is in court with him.

TR seems to think he has one fight left.

Chavez team seems to think otherwise.

How difficult is it to figure that out??

Any worse than the fights TR are putting on?

You think fighting Vera in a trilogy would be better?

I pity Junior for this move, pretty dumb imo. His career will be put on hold for a very long time because he is still under contract with TR and knowing TR they won't release him until his contract is done. He's better off fighting one more fight under TR then move on to Haymon if that's what he really wants.

    Stay active
    One more fight under TR
    Earn millions
    Go to Haymon

    vs.

    Transfer now to Haymon
    Court case vs. TR
    Earn Zero
    Collect ring rust
    No exposure and loose fans

Not really any worse or better. I am not some fanboy of some promotional company. This sport is just going down the shitter apart from the Kovalev-Hopkins showdown. At least that is an interesting fight.

Froch vs Chavez Jr. should be easier to make now.
