Kovalev will knock Hopkins out, although is appears that Hopkins will have his own personal referee to protect him, his judges and boxing commission. I think Hopkins will fall down on the canvas and have his referee to disqualify Kovalev................................the only way Hopkins can survive is to cheat...................

Which in fact would be true, he's 50 and because a 40 year old Hopkins would shut Kovalev out.:deal

2010 Hopkins beats Kovalev any day of the week. Not sure about 2014 Hopkins honestly. He looks phenomenal for his age but Kovalev, Dawson and Stevenson should prove too much. I'd be shocked if things turned out differently.

Dawson is nothing like Kovalev. Shocking people bring that fight up as the reason Hopkins is going to lose.

It's not just an isolated handful of trolls, though. There are many posters doing all the same type of preemptive bitching and moaning. It's hysterical.

Hey Rumsfeld it just goes to show Kovalev supporters are not really confident of his abilities. They've already started finding excuses for him if he loses. Tell me all of you When has Bernard Hopkins ever received a decision he didn't deserve???
Never but he got bum dec himself against Taylor & Calzaghe.
I just hope its a good fight with the best man on the night really winning Now all that's left is to say

Kovalev needs to go for 'Nard's head early and often. Go for broke and forget about trying to outbox. He's sort of stated this, claiming he hasn't watched much film on Hopkins.

'Nard needs to use his head, literally. Kovalev is susceptible to cuts.

The ref will be a huge factor in terms of what he allows.

As far as legacy talk, outside of the age story, this really isn't going to settle much. Kovalev has a fairly dismissible record of opposition. A win here will be big but it will have a bit of the lustre taken off because of Hopkin's advanced age. A win for Hopkins will be big just because he's so old.

I lean towards Hopkins. He's vastly more prepared for this but "getting old" can happen in a single round in boxing. Go Hopkins.
