There is no need to defend Abrams.

My whole point was not trying to slag off Abrams, but to show those that Cerdan beating that version of Abrams doesn't mean he'll be able to outwork Kalambay.

How is Abrams v Apostoli relevant to Cerdan-Kalambay, again ?

Oh, OK. I get it now.

That's not quite "therefore Kalambay beats Cerdan" though.

Because that version of Abrams did similar things to Kalambay but not as well.

I think it's a pretty clear cut reference points unless you get more biased the further back in time you go.

Firstly, I'm not sure we can say "same version" of Abrams fought Cerdan and Apostoli.

    I mean, if it's reference points -
Abrams fought Steve Belloise four months before he fought Cerdan .... and won a decision.
Abrams fought Steve Belloise again four months before he fought Apostoli ... and was stopped in 5 rounds.
Maybe Belloise was getting better ?? I don't know.

Secondly, Cerdan beat Abrams quite clearly, so ....
