Are you trying to compare Kovalev to Rigo?

Resumes are of significance, but style matchups are even more and Bernard Hopkins has shat all over styles like Kovalev's.

Let me put it this way, the Hopkins that dominated Pavlik 6 years ago, 99% of boxing experts would pick to dominate Kovalev the same way. That simple.

So styles only matter when people choose. like lomanchenko battering gary russel. and the mini mike tyson prodigy shawn porter being beaten fairly easily by the chinny and british level kell brook. 6years ago hopkins beat pavlik. Pavlik isnt a Kovalev get it into your skull, not even close. Pavlik is a pressure fighter with good power, Kovalev is an educated stalker with great power. different styles, not comparable.

Of course Rigo's resume is better. Rigo's division and the one just above it are deeper in talent than LHW.

Other than Kovalev, Hopkins, Stevenson, and now Beterbiev, who else of note is there at LHW?

    Its stupid to talk resume.
Every fighter in history had some point where their resume was not as good as their talent.
Most fighters do not start off fighting the very best there is.
After Saturday Hopkins will be on his resume.(hopkins out cold)
Then how will he compare to Pavlik who lost to Bernard?
Hopkins will lose and you will be hiding out or making excuses just like Hopkins will be

No. You are trying to draw a parallel between the Donaire/Rigo and Hopkins/Kovalev fights - indirectly comparing Rigo to Kovalev.

    Put down the Crackpipe son.

There are LEVELS to this **** and Kovalev isn't even in the same hemisphere as Rigo.

Kovalev would beat Pavlik, simply because he's bigger than Pavlik. They have weight classes for a reason.

Nobody said Kovalev was as good as Rigo. He was just saying that other than Donaire, Rigo's resume isn't that great either.

exactly that, either ciscoroute is particularly stupid, or very selective in his reading. probably a bit of both.

And I'm saying there are NO comparisons to be made between Rigo and Kovalev.

Kovalev isn't even in the same hemishpere.

Sorry, but you can't list Beterbiev as being "of note" and not Jean Pascal.

Beterbiev is still just a prospect, ya know...

When I say the Pavlik that beat Hopkins, I'm talking about the so called experts allready knowing he dominated Pavlik.
When Hopkins dominated Pavlik, alot of people opened their eyes and realized, "damn, this old man still has quite a bit in the tank!"
    Savy? :hey

    Donaire

If Pavlik were a natural light heavyweight, I'd pick him in a heartbeat.
