Wlad has adopted an extreme safety first style. This proves that while it is not entertaining, it is effective.

when being #1 for this long , the only way to be valued is to RETIRE , let someone new be the "Man" who beats everyone , then come back and beat him , HW has it worst because they cannot go UP and fight the mega star of the next division , thats why Pac/FM/Bhop are considered great because they had the option to go UP and fight megastars....
while WK wins against all the guys they put infront of him they will always be bums to the common guy. because in today idiots fans to not be a bum is to win against a ATG .....
summary HW are screwed in todays fanbase because they cant go up in weight to prove themselves.
WK is a ATG , and until he retires the HW will be bum full , but once he retires all the stars will rise , povetkin , joshua, fury ,wilder , whatever ..... give me a break and give him is credit

Lets be real here, Wlad was dropped by HBO because he fights super cautious in a weak heavyweight era.

Supercautious in a weak era = No knockdowns = BORING

Not really a feat to be proud of to be honest.

Impressive. This is just another proof that Wlad doesn't indeed have a bad chin, because he have been hit in this time lapse, and often heavily.

His three losses all comes from gross mistakes, no defence, and a very suspect case of illness/poisoning in the Brewster fight.

In all the other cases, he has been hit with monstruous overhands and hooks and have never been shacked by those. Even in his worst fights, he has always only been down after prolonged beatings, and never failed a 10 count, wich is something a glass chin, by definition, do.

But people sees what they wants to see, and thinking Wlad has a weak punch resistance makes his championship more tolerable to haters since he gives him at least one hypotetical weakness.

Therein lies the paradox that Wladimir is facing. He is so dominant that it is actually hurting his legacy in the eyes of some fans because they make the logical stretch that his complete preeminence over his peers is proof in and of itself that these opponents he is facing are "weak". There hasn't been a legitimate threat to his supremacy over the division, no rival to match him, nobody good enough to win even a few rounds. If Muhammad Ali was a dominant knockout uberboxer terminator like Klitschko and instead of having all those tough fights and close decisions, he was just running through everyone and winning all the rounds, would his accomplishments have been thought of as less because of the incapability of the opposition to come close to beating him? For instance, instead of losing to Frazier in their first meeting, he KO'd him in 5-6 rounds in one sided dominating fashion would Frazier have been considered a "weak" opponent? Instead of having his jaw broken in several places and arguably losing to Ken Norton 3 times, had beaten him to a bloody pulp on their first meeting would Ken Norton have have been remembered as just an unknown former US marine turner boxer with a questionable mandible(which he was before he fought Ali)?

Because the ring were butthurt and refused to acknowledge Tyson as champ and believed Spinks to be the rightful champ even thought Tyson beat Holmes, cleaned out the division and held all the titles, Tyson quickly corrected all of that in '91 seconds.

Funny, Tyson dominated the same quality of opposition and you constantly call him a bum.

Your a liar, a hypocrite and there seems to be a pattern as to which fighters you criticise and which ones you praise.

It all depends on what floored means to you. According to some citizens of Michigan, Wlad has been floored a couple of times during his reign :bart

Wlad a is allowed to hold and smother constantly if the refs were on the level he would of lost pts and not be able to fight in this cowardly manner . In fact a few DQ defeats would of occurred plus the fact that the standard of contenders is very , very poor

That's because he never had to fight guys like Max Baer and Jersey Joe Walcott, who had both punching power and ring IQ. Vlad would get knocked out by either of them.
