Chris Eubank lost to every good fighter he faced! Very Overrated!

And his only oustanding win is Kessler.

And a handful of old men.

Well, the Hopkins win is getting better as time goes by!

Jeff Lacy was shown to be the overhyped fighter he was. Calz faced a past it Eubank but just edged past a past prime Hopkins and shot RJJ. His best victory was Kessler, a prime quality fighter but far from great.

Calz is clearly a quality fighter but even a delusional fanboy can't deny how he took a safety first approach to his career. I will always give more respect to those who step it up and test themselves to the max like Benn and Froch did. Neither were boxing masters or outstanding like Hopkins or RJJ, but they still risked it all to fight those who were equals or better. Calz and to a lesser degree Eubank, sadly didn't. Both should have gone states side to test themselves to fight the best. Both fighters missed a prime Hopkins, RJJ, Toney and a few others.

He got the decision over Hopkins but imo he never won the fight. I thought Hopkins picked the much better quality punches and deserved to get the nod in a close fight.

Calz was younger, in more physical prime and was able to just throw more. Even then he just edged past him, far from being a clear win which in itself justified a rematch. Fighting a shot RJJ was just insult to injury. Calz languished in the Super Mids and could have gone up to fight the best of the best. But chose not to. It's all about testing yourself and waiting for the rest to slow down or be past it, is shameful in my opinion. This is just opportunist behaviour at its best.

Froch is like the anti Calz. Despite being a man of lesser talent and skill, he went all over the world to prove himself. Even against all odds, he came out on top (except Ward). Froch might come out with some questionable stuff, but you can't doubt his achieved or the ballsy route he took doing it. He is a true inspiration and his fights are always entertaining.

Jackson, Barkley, Hearns, Toney, G-Man, RJJ, Nunn, McCallum, Kulumbay... He avoided a ton of fighters.

This is evidence enough why we shouldn't have so many paper titles. One title and the winner is the champ. The best of the rest will be forced to fight each other. Boxing has ruined itself with all these stupid titles.

Was he the best SMW at the time - No
Did he fight the top yanks in the division - No

But boy was he fun to watch, a total showman, always a drama when he fought.

And as mentioned beat a prime Benn, Watson, Rocchigiani, Malinga
and gave Joe C a great fight, considering he was well past it.

Just take Eubank for what he was the ultimate showman

    Mmm not really,
its like not he steamrolled Hopkins.
He barely scraped by with a razor thin decision and then refused a rematch. Hardly the stuff of legends.
Jermaine Taylor and Chad Dawson beat him more convincingly.

Because that same Eubank happens to be one of Calzaghes best wins.

And no haters dont hate winners, boxing fans hate fraudsters who hide at home for a decade defending a completely worthless belt and then come out in force once the competition is 40+ and then cement a "legacy" based on an SD
