Scary fact about Hopkins

Hopkins has fought 16 times since his last KO victory. Those opponents have been knocked out only a combined 11 times. Considering Eastman has now lost 13 (only once prior to fighting Hopkins) and DLH, Taylor, Dawson, etc have been starched at least a couple times since fighting Hopkins it doesn't seem that surprising that Hopkins wasn't able to get any of them out. As you fight better competition your KO percentage generally goes down, which I'm sure you all know but it's worth repeating. I guess I'll go the extra mile and break it down even further...I must be bored.

So to wrap up this long post and get to my point of the 16 matches in the last 10 years (since his last KO) his opponents had only been knocked out a combined 5 times prior to fighting Hopkins, with 3 of those going to a badly faded RJJ. In other words, we shouldn't be surprised that Hopkins has score 0 knockouts in the last decade.

My $0.02: Kovalev is going to eventually time Hopkins, get him in trouble & flatten him. Hopkins may not do much in this fight at all after Kovalev lands a dozen right hooks and left hooks on BH's ribs.

 

Hopkins sure looked bad against Dawson.....................
