Kovalev is arguably the best p4p puncher in the game, perhaps it's Golovkin but they're on a similar level way above most other boxers. Hopkins (for all the potential cheating) has one of the best defensive games p4p and is a crisp, accurate boxer. Together they are the best boxers in their division, they hold three belts between them and they are facing off tonight! I would say that most boxing fans are absolutely gagging for this fight to start, I certainly am.

Seems like I'm getting criticized for making a opinion based thread, whats wrong with that?

You're being criticized for being a ***** about it, making an opinion thread and stating those with other opinions shouldn't comment.

Indeed you are. It's not like anyone really gives a **** if you watch the fight or not, it's just a pointless thread.... you might as well have just started a thread telling us that you don't like Cornflakes for breakfast, and then challenging everyone to call you a liar to bump it....

Incidentally, are you planning start a thread telling us every time there's a fight you don't watch?

I'm in agreement. Not sure how this is the most anticipated fight of the year. I guess sirgay's fans aren't that impressed with his record neither. They can now say he beat Hopkins. They'll forget that Hopkins is FIFTY!

50 or not he's still beaten 2 titlists to get his belts - unless you're gonna argue that Cloud and Shumenov just let him win out of deference to his venerability.

Cloud and Shumenov proves my point. Paper titlists in a really weak era.

Hopkins at this point is almost unwatchable he is a John Ruiz clone complete with the faking low blows. I will watch but not expecting an exciting fight because of Hopkins clinching, holding, grabbing, wrestling, faking low blows, headbutts, etc...

Than why comment on it ? This is a huge fight for boxing and the LHW division ! Its what boxing fans demand the best fight the best and all you can say is you you really don't care about it ? Fine ,but don't whine then when you get a shitty PPV like a Pac Algeri or Floyd Maidand fight !

I agree that neither are very good, but the point is that Hopkins was good enough to beat them, whatever his age... ergo he's a viable opponent.

Anyways, regardless - if you ain't interested, you ain't interested, there's plenty of other fun to have on a Saturday night.
