Thanks for the great memories Adamek. Your a Hall of Famer in my book. Szpilka has skills.

    Thanks mate :good

Indeed risky fight, but I knew Adamek was shot. I don't rate Szpilka at all, especially with his fragile chin but he did well today.

Adamek said he is retiring. Szpilka said he wants two fights with lesser opponents or possibly a fight with Andy Ruiz Jr which was offered to him and then he wants Jennings rematch.

I really hope so. He was a great fighter back then but now it is the only wise decision to retire.

The Szpilka from today would beat Jennings. Hope there will be a rematch. Jennings is the most not likeable person in boxing these days imo.

I don't think that he would. The fight just showed what many already knew for a long time - that Adamek's time is longtime passed and that he was more of a name during the past couple of years and less the fighter he once was.

Glazkov had the right timing beating that 'name' and that earned him a top 10 rating, but he is far away from the top 10 level as far as his abilities are concerned and actually closer to Szpilka level rather than a top 10 boxer.

Adamek made the right choice by deciding to retire. He had a truly great career, conquered 2 divisions and came close to the heavyweight crown, but ultimately it was too much. Anyway, big respect to Adamek who was one of the fighters who marked the last 10 years.

If he actually stays retired it's not a bad way to go out.

Fight was pretty boring if you ask me. Szpilka was better but no one was clearly throwing great punches. But hey at least there was no constant clinching like we usually see in big fights.

But if I am honest. It seemed like neither fighter went 100%, there are talks that this was all arranged, no knockout+Szpilka wins. I mean isn't it weird that before the match it was announced that Adamek recieved 250,000$ in the contract and Szpilka recieved 400,000$. Isn't Adamek the more famous one? I'm very suspicious of the fight.:bart
