They are racist butthurt americans, jealous for some reason.
Cant give props to good fighters because they're not white and from a different continent. sad but Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev is the GOAT.

There are only two Americans left now. Both will duck GGG/Kovalev though. No way Ward and Floyd want any of them.

Hopkins deserves respect though. He did some Shaolin monk meditation in round 12 to survive that.

All those ******s who compared GGG and Kovalev to Mathysse should delete their accounts. These two guys are real boxers. Old, European boxing school. :bbb

The switching technique worked wonders against the shell defence.

Not only are they not brawlers, they are both MASTER boxers. The power is just the cherry on top. In fact many boxers hit hard, but it's the timing and accuracy that produces knock outs. When you can see a hard shot coming and brace for it you can take the shot.

These guys learned boxing in Europe. Without their education in Russia/Germany they wouldn't be that good.

Eastern Euros, ones with big AM pedigree anyhow have never had problems with shell defense.

Yeah, this is why I want to see Lara vs Mayweather. I wasn't expecting Kovalev to fight this way, but being patient, staying on the outside, keeping his range was the right way to shut down Hopkins counter punching. It was very reminiscent when I saw Mayweather take away Marquez counter punching opportunities by staying on the outside. I think Lara can do the same to Mayweather.

They are really a fushion style, they wouldn't be the pros that they are now if they hadn't switched.

If you watch GGG or kovalev pound the heavybag you will not be impressed at all. Many boxers have power, but no the skill and technique like they do.

I saw the heavybag work, it was actually relevant to what they do in the ring. Particularly Kovalev would wait at times for the bag to swing back and force an elbow to push it back and come down with short choppy punches. Very relevant for inside work.

In his previous fights he has looked like he needed room to punch, but tonight against Hopkins he did a very good job shortening his punches when the two were in close range.
