Sergey kovalev ko7 because rjj has a pea sized head not designed for heavy punishment like bernards.

RJJ, I think you know the answer to this though, not the greatest fantasy matchup.

I'm curious what others think, and honestly haven't given it much thought myself other than I find it intriguing. And it's a valid fantasy match-up, I think.

Roy's biggest fans tend to think prime Roy was invincible and beats everyone. On the flip side, Roy's biggest critics point to the KO losses late in his career and say he always had a terrible chin.

I think the truth lies somewhere in between myself. Ergo, I think tonight's Kovalev against a prime Jones warrants some consideration.

Perhaps the match-up isn't as intriguing to others as I find it.

Hard to really say. RJJ usually wins any fantasy match up as he's such a freak of nature (or PED's) in regards to his speed, power and athleticism.

But Kovalev won at a cantor last night we really may have not even seen the best of Kovalev yet. He's had 1 big fight and come through with flying colours and has the kind of one punch power that could make the Tarver and Johnson KO's look like a love tap.

RJJ would be favourite as the more proven fighter but with his hands down style, his tendency to lay on the ropes even in his prime a Kovalev KO isn't out of the question.

RJJ would have started on his quest to be the most KTFO fighter of all time a little earlier if he had fought Kovalev.
Kovalev may have even killed him.

People have forgotten quickly how unbelievably fantastic boxer prime Roy Jones jr was. Jones by wide decision or late KO.

Every version of Jones after coming back from HW to LHW loses by KO though.

RJJ wins in a good fight by stoppage and afterwards gets busted on roids. Final result a NC

Really, what did Kovalev show last night that makes people think he could have taken on and beaten a prime Roy Jones Jr?

Kov beat a 49 year old relic and now all of a sudden he is the great LHW of all time?

It's not out of the question but it's unlikely, what's more likely is a Roy KO.

Prime RJJ rips him apart and TKO's him in round 9.
