why is ward not fighting at above 168 when he as fought their before...................

ward is not far behind Duckweather in terms of being a coward.............Adonis said live on tv he will go down to 168 to fight him but ward never even mentions him

GGG fans want him to fight 154 pounder Canelo or Welterweight Floyd.

Ward Fans want him to fight GGG.

Kovalev fans want him to fight Ward.

GGG haters want him to fight Ward.

Ward haters want him to fight Kovalev.

It's a merry go round of bull****.

    Fights that should happen

    Cotto vs. GGG

    Ward vs. Dirrell Bros

    Kovalev vs. Stevenson

I agree with you, I'ma stay consistent, Ward doesn't have to fight him until he moves up and even then he doesn't have to have Kovalev as his first fight at that weight.

Nah. It's fair enough - As a GGG fan I actually do want to see GGG fight Ward, but I ain't suggesting that he somehow has to, likewise I'm not gonna say that Ward has to step up and fight Kovalev (or Stevenson for that matter, who's actually called him out) although that's also a fight I'd love to see.

I kinda like PFAs post - instead of the BS about making inter-divisional matchups, which seem principally driven by the desire of some to see the smaller guy lose, let's go with guys proving they are the best at their own weight.

Any big match ups between the top guys at different weightclasses are an added bonus, but not, at least IMO what we ought to be focusing on.

That said - of course the lack of challenge for both GGG at MW and Ward at 168 (should he ever find the EXIT sign in the courtroom) does make me hope that both guys will at some point move up. Watching these guys either smash or cruise their way past every opponent is gradually losing it's charm.

its different for ward because unlike golvokin he has fought at the higher weight..............

ward has fought at the same weight class as kov and Adonis so whats the excuse?

ward is not going up in weight..........he has ALREADY fought their

Yeah. It sorta is different because Wards already proved himself master of his division - I nearly added that to my post, but wrt to Wards fighting at LHW I can only assume you're refering to his amateur career where the LHW limit is 178lbs BUT they are subject to same day weigh-ins so it's a different situation - many pro SMWs would actually come the ring around or above 178 and most LHWs significantly bigger.

On that note, but as an aside, does anyone know Sergeis ring weight for last nights fight? He's usually around 183-4 (which ain't that big for a LHW) but I've read several comments suggesting people thought he looked quite big on the night but kinda drained at the weigh in - myself I didn't notice, but I was just wondering if there was anything to it.

Its not about haters and fans. Ward is constantly mentioning GGG or at least his team is. This in turn pisses people off because,as you say he has cleaned out the division, but he is looking to fight the smaller guy. ward should go up in weight or fight in his division 168. If GGG moves up=game on. Cotto is a tiny middleweight who will pick carefully who he fights if anyone else at 160.
Having said that, this site is **** central and people say some dumb ****. I like your breakdown although I don't completely agree, its a good angle. peace
