Kov beats a 49 year old Hopkins now he beats JC???

Depends which Calzaghe

If its the past his prime when he did actually fight Kovalev then he would definately touch canvas at some point

If were talking the 168 version that fought Kessler/Lacy/Bika then Calzaghe on points. Calzaghe is much smarter than Cleverly (ironic considering the name/occupation) but his out put would probably be too much for Kovalev and he wouldnt be afraid to stand and trade

All respect due to Kovalev the guys a legit force but Calzaghe beats a 43 year old Hopkins and Hopkins is old. Kovalev beats a 49 year old version and suddenly hes god.

Remember Kovalev isnt unbeatable, Darnell Boone held him to a SD and he has been dropped by lesser fighters in the past.

 

Kovalev has power to drop calslappy , while slappy is featherfisted.
