I agree with you that B Hop toon to the strategy of trying to land a game-changing punch later in the fight, but listen to Jones later in the fight. He was hoping B Hop would change the tide with a single punch, and let it affect his supposedly objective commentary. B Hop hasn't KOd anyone in years. It was oddly biased.

Its hard not to root for the underdog, especially when he is 49 years old and someone who has earned his legacy in the Sport. Normally, super bias commentary would bother me, but this is one of the few exceptions.

I thought it biased as well
They need to revise the scoring system because this was a shutout not 120-107
    more like 120-to 0

They needed him and was hoping that he could win because of the cold war it was BHOP that stepped out and now he may not ever fight again.

kellerman always root for the perceived "skilled" fighter.

roy jones i think underestimated kovalev.

    lampley was neutral.

    lederman absolutely hated hopkins performance.

im just saying , the commentary team coudlnt really just say hopkins is shot and hes just trying to survive, of course theyd kind of exaggerate the positives, would have been a miserable watch otherwise even though i watched it on boxnation

    Agree.

I think still Kellerman is of higher opinion about Soviet boxers than Roy Jones. RJ and many other American fighters still don't understand the soviet school of boxing and can't explain some intricacies. Kellerman was sympathetic to Hopkins maybe because he wanted his another favorite fighter in GGG face Bernard lol.

I was watching a Quebec broadcasting chanel last night, with Yvon Michel commentating (pdg of GYM, who promote Stevenson and Beterbiev). They were biais by leaning toward Hopkins. But they said right from the beginning that they hoped Hopkins would win because of what it meant legacy wise, although they thought it would be done by the eighth round.

Roy is a bullshitter. Sometimes he says stuff the other guys say is wrong but then tries to say why and ends up saying nothing or confirming that what they said was actually never wrong. Wtf...

"He hit him on top of that Alien head" R Jones

I don't think they were that biased at all, I mean they obviously would have liked to see Hopkins make history which is fair enough.

You should here the dickheads at the BBC when England are playing football, now THAT is bias and cringeworthy.
