Kessler, Froch, Abraham and Bute were considered the best at the weight. There is no disputing that. Ward fought all but Bute (who was not in), during the tournament, and won clear victories. Froch dismantled Bute and just took out Groves. He is clearly the second best at 168. There is simply no one left of significance for Ward to enhance his current stock and future legacy against at 168. He's beaten all the best guys, as I said. That doesn't mean 160 lb guys need to be served up to Ward. But, they certainly shouldn't have his name in their mouths either.

No one is disputing Ward beat Kessler and Froch, but please stop ducking what was said -
Wards best win is an unwell, rusty, double vision suffering fighter who had already been beaten by the previous old end of career champ.
Really Ward beat Kessler, who beat Froch who beat everyone else, but Ward never beat a top undefeated or top prime SMW.
It is a very recycled division when you note Ward as the best and Froch as the follow up and for both their best win is Kessler who was exposed in the previous era.
What has Groves done that makes you rate him so high?
I like Groves and felt before the first fight that he was going to beat Froch, but Groves has not done much as of yet.
Once again, ward hasnt beaten a top undefeated fighter or top prime SMW and he had a good opportunity to face undefeated Bute which would have been a massive fight for him

Ward is P4P for a win over faded Kessler 5 years ago and a win over Froch 3 years ago who was on a run of a loss to Kessler a win over MW Abraham and a Mdec over old boiled down SMW journeyman G Johnson. Best add not overly active Bika in their also.

I didn't duck anything. Your points were basically an attempt to discredit Ward. He beat everyone of significance in his division. If they were not undefeated it's because 168 is one of the few divisions that was talent rich and the best fighters actually fought each other. So, somebody's 0 had to go. There is not a fighter in the division above or below him that can say the same.

OK? Uhh... why can't you Andre? Did god tell you not to? Seriously, he isn't fighting anyway so why not try to be useful and pull back the curtains behind boxing.

Fantastic boxer... but a f*ckin dumbass who overstates his worth. Based on skill he should be a top draw... but that isn't how boxing works.

Froch won't fight Ward, because it's a massive risk with no reward. Ward simply isn't a big enough draw in monetary value.

A lot of that is due to who he's signed to. Ward is superb, but he needs to make changes and make them fast if he wants to build his reputation.

Shame, because he's a superb boxer.
