It's because people know Pac will have trouble looking good against Ageiri's size and boxing. And that's all Pac fans really care about, opponents who make him look better than he is.
In the US? Probably, yeah. I mean, the Pacquiao faithful and most Long Island residents are locked in to buy. It won't be the worst PPV ever, despite the hour. The numbers will suck, though.
I do not think they care to be honest, I think they are paying Pac 20 million guaranteed just to fight there. Similar to Roy Jones Jr fighting in Russia... no one will watch that from the US, but he makes very good money over 2 million per fight and rap session lol
That boring ****ing yuppie is gonna run and pitty pat, while an old Manny who no longer has killer instinct just follows him around without any fire in his belly.
...so, boring yuppie via UD? ...or aging Manny by robbery? In either case, the numbers will be most deservedly awful.
I care about Pacquiao-Algieri And there's a better undercard than there was for Mayweather-Maidana II. I'm looking forward to seeing Lomachenko fight again.
Not really, about the same. Vargas vs. DeMarco is interesting, but probably won't be exciting. (if Vargas can help it) Otherwise the undercard is trash. Lomachenko and Shiming being fed padded record Thais in mismatches? Uh, thanks but no thanks.
Numbers in the Us would be horrible. But from China and South east Asia it'll be high. Even with horrible ppv numbers in the past fight I'm pretty sure Arum ain't that stupid. There's a lot more money in Macau than in Vegas plus less tax. Something clicked there so it must be good.
Isn't the fight in the morning in macau? I think if arum was serious about expanding the Asian market, then he would have had it prime time in Asia. I think what it comes down to, is that he gets good booking deals and perks compared to Vegas. I think it brings in as much money as Rios vs pac .
