then it comes to who is better at delivering that punch, bob foster 79inch reach and faster and explosive 1punch ko artist. Kovalev would be punishing that body early on aswell, hes also physically stronger i think.
    its a close one.

Don't recall Foster having any chin issues at 175. All his KO defeats were against heavyweights. Kovalev is still something of an unproven quantity, so it's a bit unfair to rate him against a genuine great. His power is legit, though he did seem to be wobbled on a couple of occasions by 93-year-old Hopkins. Based on what we know, Foster by KO.

too early to tell on Kov he seems to be strong but lets see him against Adonis Stevens (another puncher) Hopkins could not hurt him but Hop is not a KO puncher. I see talent and power and smarts but ask me in 3 years

Kovalov is a fighter who takes advantage of the 24 hour weigh ins by cutting weight. He does it fair and square...but he is very big for the weight as a result. I don't know what his weight was by fight night, but it looked like he rehydrated into a full blown cruiserweight.

What is this "rocked' you speak of ?

Could you tell me when it was in round 12 (or any other part of the fight ) that Kovalev got rocked ?

Interestingly, as of now, nobody sees this going to the judges.

We have 8 picking Foster and 4 picking Kovalev, all by KO.

Just too early for me to make a pick regarding Kovalev. Would love to revisit this in two years. Let him fight Pascal, Stevenson, and Ward first. I will say I was beyond impressed with what he did to Hopkins.

He wasn't rocked, their feet pretty clearly tangled. They focused on the feet during the post fight highlights, showing a close up of them tangling.

Several of those who have sparred with Kov say he hits like a very good heavyweight. Foster didn't take a good heavyweight shot.

Meanwhile, we don't have a great sample size on Kov and there are minor worries regarding his chin (I would say more worries regarding Foster's)…

At this point, it's really too early, tho I am going to shade to Foster until Kov proves more. And that said, Kov's best days are before him.

    Equally powerful?:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Foster's left hook was arguably the biggest punch in history, P4P.

Kov hit nowehere NEAR like Bob Foster.

Kovalev strikes me as just too big boned, large framed for 175, he in my opinion would be better off fighting at 200-210 lbs, at 6 feet tall, there's plenty of height to carry the weight..

Kovalev still kinda green, from what i saw last week he would be a pick em against Foster at 175, however if they fought at a heavier weight, which Kovalev will most likely move up too, he knocks Foster cold, Bob couldn't take a punch very well from the big dogs...

Hopkins deserves a lot of credit he's a 50 year old man and was taking some heavy blows from some young kid young enough to be his son and only left his feet once!:deal

I'd agree with those of the opinion that it's just to early in kovalev's title reign to pick him over foster and that in another 3/5 years it may be a different story

Kov is the scariest puncher I've ever seen, scarier than Foster.
