You should have known by now that Ali vs Foreman is nothing but an example of scams make fights.

What intelligent person has EVER said "styles make fights" means a fighter would win 100 out of 100 against a given opponent just because his style is assumed to be all wrong for that person? It means he would be generally expected to win. Whole thread is based on a false premise.

Mayweather is stylistically all wrong for Marquez and can realistically record a shut-out against him. That doesn't mean the Marquez who knocked Pacquiao doesn't have a puncher's chance.

Alternatively, you should know by now that ALL conspiracy theorists are attention seeking nut cases.

Foxy KNOWS that the ropes in Zaire were not loose, Foreman did not feel that his life were at risk, he was fully hydrated and his drinking water contained nothing but H2O and perhaps a bit calcium, sand, rust and the usual ingredients, the heat had no effect on him and neither did him as the reigning champion having no voice on the fight's location nor on the fight being held in Zaire in the peak of the heat during daytime of course, with Foreman's corner facing the sun. Ali and Mirena were surprised by all of these and it was Ali's great accommodation that won him the fight.

    Foxy01 knows it all best.

Just briefly; I think it's not a cliche. Styles DO make fights.
Dundee steered Clay away from Machen.
Machen goes the route against Sonny.
    Sonny destroys Floyd.
Floyd handles Eddie easily; and...I think anytime previous.
    Norton gives Ali hell.
    Foreman destroys Norton.
    Ali beats Foreman.
    Ali could never KO Cooper.
Patterson leaves Cooper in a 'puddle'.
Jimmy Young was 'unknockoutable' in his short window of prime, Ali, Norton, Foreman...but Patterson may have reached him and stopped him IMO. My $0.02. Styles do make fights.

    Hahahahahahahahaha,

There has NEVER been a better example of anyone burying themselves than the pure **** you have written above.

Erm, was it, or was it not something like 4 am 30th October 1974 Zaire time when the fight actually took place? Something to do with American television prime time? So tell us again about the sun being in Foreman's corners eyes.

    MORON.

Why do fools like you try to contaminate forums with your half baked ego's, and opinions, when the FACTS prove you to be Walter Mitty's?

I have no interest in safari's or killing beautiful wild animals, and as such I have never felt the need to go to Africa, but other than Scandinavia in the summer months I'm pretty sure it is not daylight at 4 o'clock in the morning anywhere in the world, particularly not two days before November.

What's the difference? If you employ certain "tactics" then you've by inference employed a "style."

Do you mean to say you honestly don't know the difference between tactics and style? And here you are posting on a boxing forum.

    The mind boggles.

I'll give you 2 examples of tactics by the same guy.

    Hagler / Hearns.

Hagler obviously didn't fancy a " boxing match " with Tommy's height and reach advantages so he just tore into him from the off. Something he didn't normally do in a fight.

    Hagler / Leonard.

Hagler " wrongly " kept switching from his normal southpaw stance to orthodox, trying to confuse Leonard for the first 4 - 5 rounds, and it backfired, because he lost those rounds.

Both of those tactics were NOT his normal modus operandi, or style.

No need to be a douchebag, pal, I didn't get personal with you.

Would you not agree that use of tactics basically defines a style under most circumstances? You're using one rather far-out example in Hagler getting ****y by playing around in the first two rounds against Leonard, and calling THAT "tactics?" Those weren't fighting tactics, he was fvcking around in there to prove a point is all.

And the brawling tactics against Hearns were about all he had at his disposal by 1985; he COULDN'T box with him and win, so he changed his style, get it now?

On second thought, fvck off. Your acquiescence isn't necessary.

As I said, when you learn the difference between styles and tactics, come back to the big boys forum. Until then stick to what you know. Fvck all.

On second thoughts I'd rather laugh at you some more. So tell us how it was always Ali's STYLE to lay over the ropes and let guys punch themselves out a la Foreman?

So which one are you Laa Laa Tinky Winky, Dipsy, or Po?
