Wlad is the most underated HVY champ ever, Marciano most overrated

Marciano wouldn't even be a HW top 10 today. If he'd campaign at HW he'd drop to CW or LHW after his first couple of losses.

wlad is good.. no one can deny that.. he has dominated the divison for 10 years? his style is not the most entertaining so i sympathize with "haters" on that. but he seems to cop way to much hate

 

In that time they got guys as light as possible, now they bulk them up, often too much. Maricano today would do the same as todays fighters.

 

If Wlad didnt duck his toughest competitor all those years I would consider him to be in top 5-10 ever. Now I dont even know if he is the best of this era.

Iv watched lots of past great heavyweight fights and some of them were epic.

Now lets fast forward 50 years from now re-watch Wlad leaning on a smaller opponent to tire them, jab and grab. Its not even in the same ball park.

Who exactly is Wlad supposed to fight for respect? Deontay Windy? He's too scared to get in the ring with Bermane Stiverne, Wlad would give him a heart attack.

I may have misread what you wrote, I thought you said rocky would do the same to todays hw's. but it now looks like you mean he would add much weight so he could compete at hw.

he was just way too small, **** he was smaller than Tyson and once the hw got bigger he couldn't win a fight.

Lewis was a PPV draw since he fought Tony Tucker back in the early 90's.
He was huge in his day. He had detractors but he was still huge and all his fights were massive events on both sides of the pond.

Lewis Holyfied I did 1.2 million PPV buys. Fcking huge numbers.

Wlad never sold a single PPV unit in his ENTIRE career and in America can't even get over 400,00 views on FREE TV and had to postpone his recent fight so he could worm his way back onto HBO.

Lewis Tyson did almost 2 MILLION PPV buys. Golota , Grant , Tua were all more PPV bouts.

And it wasn't just in America either. Lewis was selling big buys on Sky Sports Box Office in the middle of the night.

Not to mention featuring on HBO Beyond The Gory and Legendary Nights.
Not to mention having a resume that dumps all over Wlads.

Everybody knew the name Lennox Lewis. The name Wladimir Klitschko doesn't exist to anybody who isn't a hardcore boxing fan and that is a first in the history of the Heavy Weight Champion.

Never has a world champion defended his title on Eurosport , never mind the HW champion of the world.

This bogus champ is going to be forgotten as soon as he hangs em up for never giving anything to the sport and turning away more people then he drew in.
