Wlad is the most underated HVY champ ever, Marciano most overrated

Klitschko won 10 out of the 12 rounds. All of the knock downs were flash

knockdowns, 2 of the ones in question were caused by illegal rabbit punches.

He beat a young, undefeated, very good modern SHW fighter in Sam Peter.

He showed heart and great recovery, assets that are often highly

praised in other fighters.

You give him absolutely no credit for this victory.


You know who went "life and death" in many of his fights? Muhammad

Ali.

He fought until the brink of death against a much smaller, half blind,

arthritis ridden, fatter, far physically weaker, chinner, and lighter

punching version of Sam Peter.


You know who was "lucky" in many of his fights? Ali.

He was lucky that his corner illegally revived him after he was KO'd by a

180 pound bum.

He was lucky to receive flagrant gift decisions in many of his fights,

mostly against fighters who were by no definition great.



You know what Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Muhammad Ali, Larry

Holmes, Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis all have in

common? They never fought a very good 6-4 240 pound murderous

punching southpaw with lightning quick hands.


As far as my opinion on Holmes you asked me previously if Wlad could

beat the 90s Holmes that lost to Holyfield and I said that Wlad would

win a very comfortable decision. I stand by that opinion.

He then went on to be elite guys.


Wlad has never beaten an elite guy and he lost at 27 and 28.

 

Pac has beaten elite fighters.

His greatest wins are better than Wlad's wins.

What elite fighters has Wlad ever beat?

Wlad has been beating top 5 guys.

But statistics don't allow for circumstances.

Look who those guys have been, and look at the manner of his victories.

Wlad had the chance to challenge Lennox Lewis after he nearly took Vitali's face off. Don't forget Vitali immediately challenged the golfer/ part time fighter who KO'd Wlad to "get revenge for his brudder" lol. But no old Wlad wanted no part of Lennox he ran for the hills.. Wlad cannot even sell a PPV

 

So What? Lennox get his *** beaten 2 times, by even weakest fighter, and the both time he was Koed? Atleast Wlad always finish his matches at standing feet.
Wlad dont know what to do, when he was hit by Sanders. Corrie was 39-2, when fight with Wlad, nothing wrong with the man, who had incredible speed and power in his hands.
And we all know what happen next with Wladimir. Klitschko is not guilty to have weak chin, he cant do nothing about it, this is a born gift.
The only thing he can make is, to not get hit that often, and not recieve big punches, and make hes defence better. And guess what he do exactly that, and he do it pretty well, he master all.
Yeah Klitschko have 3 bad loses, but this 3 loses make him better, show him he have weakness. And after this loses he is unbeatable, even at 38 years old.

Both top5ish though. Tough to compare their eras.

I totally agree with this post. I was surprised about the turn around on LL sentiment. I was also surprised at the hypocrisy with the K bros. Very similar sentiments about all three champs during their reigns.

 

I would rank Wlad easily in top 10 with win over Vitaly. Without it his resume is not strong enough. It would have been the only big win in his career. But of course I understand if he did not want to fight against his brother.

 

Wlad fights boring fights. Look at the Povetkin fight, its horrible. His style is the biggest factor.
