His contract stated he'd be paid 1.1 million and a rematch within 120 days if he lost.

He has yet to receive a penny and Chagaev is now looking for a new opponent.

Looks like the Russian promoter has reneged entirely

If that's what he was offered then I'm not surprised he wasn't paid. Chagaev's purse would have been higher and so I doubt the promoter made any money, he probably lost money.

Said he hadn't trained in 2 weeks, and left his wife and new born because the promoter and the President of Chechnya guaranteed him the contract and his safety.
He only got there an hour before the weigh in as people remember.

    He was completely screwed over.

Hopefully he gets every penny he is entitled to.

In fairness he should have asked for the money upfront

The president of Chechnya obviously doesn't give a **** about some fat ******* from the other side of the world

He cared enough to ask him to come(begged is the world Oquendos promoter used) and the contract was signed.

It shouldnt be a matter of getting it up front. Once the contract is signed, he is legally entitled to every penny.

Ok so do you believe them cowboys from Nigeria every time they say you have won the lotto and ask for your bank details?

Just say for example if the president of Somalia another war torn kip offered me the same deal I'd ask for the money up front because contracts don't mean **** to these people

The real world isn't like a children's book

Rabinsky is one of the bigger boxing promoters in Russia/Europe.

    Hes not some "cowboy"

Although by the looks of this, maybe he is.

    What?

You're saying he doesn't deserve his legally agreed pay cheque because....hes over weight?

Oh and btw, even though he hadnt trained for 2 weeks in that fight, he still managed to look in better shape than Chagaev.

If you did your job, and your boss didn't pay you at the end of the week the agreed upon amount, and said "I shouldn't have agreed to that, ****l off you fat ****"...Would just smile and say "OK BOSS!"

Do you go out of your way to sound like a dick or does it come naturally?

First you make fun of Simakov dying and now you're saying boxers shouldn't get paid what it says in their contract.

Do you realise what a tool you sound like?
