Mayweather ranks higher than Hopkins by a distance

    Anyone who ranks Hopkins higher than Money Mayweather don't know sh1t about boxing :deal

    Floyds victoies over cotto, oscar, hatton, canello, corrales, marquez, judah and castillo are all superior to any victory Hopkins had in his entire career :yep

    Don't give me any bull**** about Trinidad at middleweight either, Tito's record at middleweight or above is 3 wins 3 defeats :patsch

    All that Hopkins has is a career of beating B/C class fighter with longevity and there have been 9 times in his career he has gone into the ring and not emerged victorious :oops:

    Anybody who ranks Hopkins higher than Mayweather is an absolute embarrassment to this forum and should receive a perma ban from the mods :reggie:ban

    Hopkins has taken on the greater challenges and has been an elite fighter in several divisions over a long period of time. Mayweather is an ATG and his boxing ability is among the best ever.

    To say that anyone that ranks Hopkins over Mayweather should be banned and dksab shows you are very biased. Hopkins- Mayweather is a matter of opinion, there is no right or wrong answer about who ranks higher.

    Firstly I want to congratulate HEADBANGER for another great thread. :clap:

    While Mayweather is/was ducking the likes of Margarito, Pacquiao, 147 Cotto, Paul Williams, Younger Mosley, Khan, Brook........ Hopkins has been taking on all comers in his divisions win lose or draw.

    Bhop always fought the best opposition. Floyd cherrypicked his fights and avoided risky fights and is still avoiding his best available opponent as of now.

    Hopkins opponents are much better than Mayweathers as unlike floyd he isn't afraid to take on the best fighters in his division. Therefore Hopkins ranks higher than Mayweather.

    The best victory on Hopkins resume by a distance is a 2 weight jump victory over Tarver.

    Yet Tarver was a complete american hypejob fighting in the weakest 175 division in history only glamourised by domestic match-ups before a gullable, insular american audience.

    Look at Johnson, he was smashed all over the tough 168 division before finding success in the weak 175 division.

    Tarver was king before the 160 champ jumped up and took over the division.

    Then the 168 champ Calzaghe jumped up and took over the poor 175 division.

    Another american hypejob (dawson) was king before another 168 also ran jumped up and took over the 175 division.

    Saying Hopkins is greater than Mayweather because he took on all comers is bull****, where were the Hopkins versus Toney, Jones rematch, Calzaghe match up 2002?

    Hopkins lost to every elite challenge he faced, Mayweather won every elite challenge he ever faced.

    Hopkins had 9 fights he didnt win, Floyd had 0 fights he didnt win.

    Any one who ranks Hopkins in the same stratosphere as Hopkins is either a fart sauce gargling fanboy or genuinely someone who don't know **** about boxing - an absolute embarrassment to this forum.

    Anyone who actually believes Mayweather rates higher on the ATG list currently i will know is just a blind nuthugger and has no clue about the history of this sport.

    I am sure you also think Marciano is the heavyweight GOAT actually you probably never even followed boxing pre Mayweather so nevermind.
