Are you telling me you did not watch some shocking cable shows down the pub, or the local Town Hall, in the 80s and 90s, far worse than this?

£17 now a days is a cheap nights entertainment, and if you go down the local, it is not even going to cost you that. Of course some of us are not allowed out on a Saturday ni... I mean, are getting too old to do that! ;)

Honestly only a couple of times I quickly cottoned on to the fact that as I keep most fights and watch them whenever I want to I would be more than happy to wait a week and watch them on telly or as was the case in the past order them from sellers in magazines now Internet on video or now disc for a fraction of the price .

Going to the pub doesn't really appeal as the only pub to possibly have it near me is a city centre pub which is going to be packed with drunk teenagers , under 28's and pikeys all of who will no doubt think they are the next big thing and wanting to fight each other :tired. As I find this pretty boring I will happily hold my hand up to being to old

I live in London, There are some very deprived areas but that is another conversation

You are free to think whatever you like, but in my opinion you are delusional if you think this is a "relatively huge crossover fight".

You can be as delusional as Bellew saying "People are not happy about PPV because they really want to see the fight" and bang on about Gucci leather jackets

Fact is nobody I have spoken to is that interested in this, it is a British title fight a best at CW and the rest of the card is a not very competitive showcase in many peoples opinions with some keep busy fights.

The real PPV numbers will tell the story if and when they are released.

As already said it's the principle and the fact we pay tv licence and sky sports subscription fees already . If you wish to contribute to pushing boxing further from main stream public view then go ahead and give sky and Hearn your monies . Just remember this is quite probably the poorest main event that has been pay-per view add to that the bill is pretty much full of house fighter vs selected opponent type fights that duff and lawless used to regularly put on . if it sells well it sets a dangerous level for pay-per view top of the bill's . What next Campbell vs coyle or for £18 next summer because that is what we could be letting ourselves in for . Remember we should try to keep only really top world level fights for per-per view otherwise we are damaging our sport .

    I know, I agree

It is the principle but morons like that want to try and shame you into buying it to prove you are not living out of bins

It is beyond childish, next they will asking what trainers we wear and asking to check the labels in our clothes to see if they are real or off the market

Aww I miss the old school days

I worry about some of these people, they are not thinking long term. They must be happy buying PPV for British title fights in the future on a channel they already pay for.

    £17.00 is cheap for a night's entertainment.

To get to the next town for a night out, my car uses more than that in fuel. Then I'd have to pay for food, drinks, tips and the like.

    £17.00 is cheap....you cheap b*stards.

Grow up some of us realise this is simply not pay-per view standard it's that simple , and if it's a success on the numbers we can all look forward to being made to pay more for even british title fights . Which will push the sport further away from the mainstream

What is it that you and the rest of the dense tw4ts can't grasp? If sky and fast car are allowed to think this is acceptable then this time next year they'll have you spunking 20 notes to watch prizefighter!

If you dont buy the PPV next week

the hardcors make out they love boxing and would watch some cretin from albania fight somebody from brixton in london.

well next week we have a stacked card and some good fighters, they aint all 50-50

but if the hardcores love boxing as much as they said, they wouldnt grumble about paying a bit of cash to see these decent fights!

Not really hardcore that is it

    putting nothing into boxing

a hardcore to me is a guy who has good boxing knowledge
    watches alot of cards
puts money back into boxing(going to fights or buying ppvs)
