Pay per view must have been here for 20 years and we still don't pay £20 to watch plumbers fight as some knob has quoted.
How people can say £17 is expensive is beyond me bunch of tramps.

£17 is expensive to some people.

However, if you don't like it, if it's not worth it, then don't pay for it. That's the only way to make promoters think.

I like boxing but I'm not as knuckle-dragging simpleton. You know what they say about a fool and his money.

It would be interesting to IQ test everyone who buys this PPV, I guarantee the average would be well below 90.

Terrible isn't it? Investing in pieces electronics coated in metal with thinly veiled in gold plate with a finite life and then launching them into space to offer a service.

Then, have the audacity to take some money back from doing so.

To suggest Sky have been bad to boxers is incredulous in the least, I've seen far more boxing on Sky of late and the ringside coverage is usually insightful and there are plenty of people on the payroll there I suspect.

A lot of that is to tempt out the casual fan, but they're still hugely important.

Boxnation charges, but then it has to, it's piggybacking on the massive infrastructure of Sky. It'll fail eventually. Sky sorted F1, they'll sort every sport sooner or later.

Anyone who thinks the main event is value for money has proved to be the naive type that Hearn and sky are hoping to prey upon . Over the last tweny years or so yes pay-per view has been around but never before has a fight like this been offered as the main event . But then again I guess a fool and his money are easily parted

This is the crux of it for me.

I don't think it's coincidence that so many people have a problem with the PPV. The reasons are well documented and we could argue for/against the merits of the card till the cows come home.

If the fight does good numbers Matchroom, Sky etc will feel vindicated, and I believe that we'll see more and more PPV's over the next few years as a result.

With their stable, and how it's going to continue to expand, they're going to be able to put on a lot more of these cards and point to 5 or 6 of these "names" as justification for PPV, regardless of the quality of their opponents
