Idiot? Go back to school kid. This is business. If you are not willing to pay, so what? Get over it. There are plenty more who are. Remember how people ***** about Mayweather's PPVs and their unwillingness to part with $70? Well guess what, plenty of people do and he still generates $100,000,000 per fight. It's business pappi. If you don't understand it, try to.
What a fool how can you compare mayweather being PPV to bellew vs cleverly , mayweather is considered by many the best boxer on the planet and his fights are world title fights . But you want to compare bellew vs cleverly to mayweather . Also your talking about America and their market this joke of a PPV event is being forced onto the british market place where a fight of this stature has never been made PPV before . The bill is made up of nearly entirely marking time fights/ sparring sessions which the promoter seems be becoming more desperate to add names to in the hope of making it more appealing so to attract boxing fans with brains .eddie Hearn and Adam smith have misjudged the intelligence of the boxing public . :tired
I don't really know what a casual fan is,but Id say if they don't know Bellew and Cleverly, where they come from and a bit about their last few fights, they're NOT casual. I consider myself hardcore. Get Boxing News,Boxing Monthly, and watch everything I can. Don't go to fights but have seen plenty in my time. Im buying this PPV. If somebody says they can't afford it,Im sorry for them. If they're out of work and can't get a job ditto. If they say they're a fan and don't want to work Id say its their choice. Apart from 2 fights that are mismatches I think the card justifies it. However,if they made many more shows PPV I wouldn't be very happy.
You pay for a TV license :rofl Give that money to someone who needs it instead of a bunch of lying cnuts :yep
I'm sorry but anyone who buys this PPV is a complete and utter moron, in the words of Tony Bellend "it's as simple as that". I mean did you see Ringside last night? Nicky Piper couldn't even remember (or care) who was on the under card yet still managed to somehow conclude that they were competitive fights. When asked about Sprott vs Joshua he said it was a good test, a brilliant fight, competitive, but then when asked who would win he said Joshua would win easy And that was someone from the Sky team who was supposed to be there to hype this garbage up
I haven't paid the TV license once in my life and don't intend to either. I'm not handing over my money fund a bunch of lefty nonces at the BBC.
How is that an alternative when ITV are no longer willing to stump up millions of pounds to buy the right to show the fights? Look, I know what you mean. I'm just saying that boxers have to be paid lots of money to be in big fights. It follows that you need some sort of model to pay them in order to make those fights happen. That 'sort of' model involves PPV. This is PPV. Have I convinced you? Excellent! Another person buying the PPV
Why are you interested in watching shows about the buildup if this is such a bad show? Something odd about that....
I was bored and there was nothing else on, and besides, I am interested in the fight, I'm just not going to pay £17 for it because it isn't PPV worthy and sets a bad precedent for for future shows.
