A single governing body with a panel would help. This wont happen too many people making money as it stands now. Id just love more shows and title fights on a little earlier and on reg tv so everyone can watch it including kids.

Just because you don't understand business and finances doesn't mean everyone else has that problem:hi:

You don't understand it, most people can have a idea but don't know figures. You claim to know because you know purses and you also only estimate ppv #'s and cost. But truth is there is way more to it then just that. There is also gate money, promotion money that companies pay to get their logo on, the money that comes in from other national stations who pay to show the fight such as sky(many others as well) and a lot more. We can't pretend to know when we don't know what all money is coming in or out, we don't have exact figures so we can't claim such and such company is doing good or bad.

No it's not. Casuals just tune in when certain big fights are announced and care less about the negotiation process nor bother to read bout it. Casuals rarely even know what division lower weight guys fight at and almost never know when Catchweights are involved.

boxing just isnt that important to 99.999% of the worlds population. only the boxing nerds care enough to put their life on hold in order to learn trivial **** like that. same way you look at the geeks arguing about which is better, star trek or battlestar galactica, thats how everyone will look at you asking them to learn about who has had better ppv numbers.

In the over all scheme of things, the boxing budget is not a main force of revenues for any of the premium channels.HBO,for instance, with a world wide subscription of 114 million paid subscribers, turned a revenue of 4.9 billion US dollars in 2013.The moneys in the budget devoted to boxing is miniscule when comparing their budget for blockbuster series like the Soprano's and HBO original movies.
In many cases their boxing series is a "lost leader" to keep a minority of it's subscribers happy.
Showtime does not have this luxury and are heavily subsidised by their bosses at CBS.They are the poor cousins that live on the other side of the tracks.

yes I agree boxing budget is not the main force for revenues but a company like showtime does not want to pump in money from other areas into boxing they would ideally want a investment
    coming from the boxing side.

while you're correct in saying no one can know the actual figures that being said what you can know is if the company is doing well for example making a return from their investments you don't need the actual figures to know this this is common knowledge.

But how do you know this? Why should anyone believe you?

You talk as though you are behind the scenes. How is HBO different from Showtime in this regard?
