    Lazaridis is pounding on Lopajevs, jabs on the increasingly unprotected forehead and rights on the body and side of the jaw. Lopajevs is staying on the ropes, getting knocked into them only to boomerang into more slow and steady punches from Lazaridis. Lopajevs down off a left hook on the body and clubbing right. Up. Down again with Lazaridis pounding away. Up. Lazaridis keeps on him, pumping either fist into his face and simply powering through Lopajevs' attempts to reach out and pull him into a clinch on the ropes. Lopajevs falls a final time, enough to convince Smoger.

    Italy has a decent boxing scene, but their best fighters never turn pro it seems....

    Greece, you're right - Arnaoutis was their last decent operator.

    Italy, though? Bundu, Marsili, Boschiero, Di Rocco, Blandamura, Larghetti, Fiordigiglio, Modugno, Giacon, Fegatilli (though he lives in and is based in Belgium) - all could eventually become or already have been world ranked contenders.

    Spain has Ruben Nieto, Kiko Martinez, Isaac Real, shot old Campillo...

    Abdoul is a teak tough cookie.He has shared the ring with the who is who at cruiser weight.Names like T.Adamek,D.Haye,Mike Perez,Marco Huck,Y.Hernandez,and so on.He has never been stopped.True gate keeper at cruiser weight.
    I am absolutely positive that the Belgium based Arab will go the full route with the Latvian.Good test for Briedis,but to be fair Abdoul is a little bit over the hill now.
